You woke up one night
covered in sweat
you sat up to see what woke you
You think, "There's nothing to fret"

Oh, but there is, sweety
There's something in your room
A little advice, don't close your eyes
or it will bring your most dreadful doom

You go back to sleep, rested but anxious
feeling safe under the sheets
Oh, what did I just tell you, little girl
I'm sorry, but you're not safe from ME.
Sorry, I just wanted to try a horror themed poem. No judgement please.
