Oct 2010
surrounded by people, yet completely alone,
me, a breathing dead-weight, an inert frozen stone.
no ears to hear me, no one knows my name,
i live in a nightmare of apathy and shame.

hollow the hunger, no pangs of wanting i feel,
no sleep can revive me, nor doth waking seem real.
i am surrounded by people, yet all by myself,
no hope here abides, my life is lived on a shelf.
