This is my cube of loneliness
I sit here and watch the happy people go by
Begging them to stop and save me
But they know better than to try

I'm here because of my own doing
When things are good I hide away
Into my glass box of depression
Where no one can hear what I say

I hit the glass to break free
And it cracks in one small place
I hear laughter and joyful voices
The sweet outside air fills my space

My ignorance seals the glass
Building it stronger than before
So I sit and watch the people go by
Realizing this box was made without a door.
