Love came in a needle.
We held hands.
We flew and touched heaven.
We'd lay in the stars that God made.
It was my forever and it covered my ungraceful solitude.
But soon it was demanding.
So I gave my shell to swine.
I had hoped for the fulfillment of their promise.
And so it came...
But at the expense of a child I will never see or know again.
And so I stand in a mirror tracking the steps of a grief stricken shadow as it comes closer to the exit that none but I can bear to find and love. Fate did lead me here. By so accepting the dare to face my friend gladly, I find freedom.
