There was nothing I had in mind
About what to do when I saw you
The sidewalk would only say
There’s a reason she’s walking on her own

Nothing I can say will work
So you didn’t say anything at all
It’s the luck of the next card
I can’t see first what someone gives to me

No ring on your finger
No look in your eye
When will it be
That you will notice me

Shadows following you
Bright light reflecting
You pass through so easily
Whoever hurt you
Made sure you wouldn’t look at me

I thought about it for ten years
Or it seemed so long today
All that matters is turning around
If I only knew how you want love to start

No ring on your finger
No look in your eye
When will it be
That you will notice me
