hello, superman*

he stares with the intensity of a live wire.

he thumbs coals into my belly
knowing i have the heat to animate them.

like a shy dog i drop to my heels. thighs
spread slightly, as if i were about to ****.

i look up and see the neon
has faded from his smile as he imagines

this wild ***** knelt at his feet, begging
for help with what she can't do alone.
