it's all my fault

I whispered to myself
as I pulled the crying, beaten up body up with me

it's all my fault

I whispered to myself
as I screamed at the figure before me

it's all my fault

I whispered to myself
as a petite figure wrapped itself around me

it's all my fault

I whispered to myself
as I slid down the bathroom wall, silence engulfing me

it's all my fault

I whispered to myself
as I typed these words, failing to explain to guilt burning inside me

it's all my fault*

and it will always be my fault.
