Woe is me, oh woe is me,
As I languish in mediocrity,
I am as stagnant as our rulers, or maybe not as so,
For at least I can decide what rule stays and what rule goes,
At least I can I can move on from constant prose,
At least I can realize what good should trump,
Whether the ideas or the person, or even both lumped,
At least I can put aside issues affronted,
No matter the hill or re -designed face it is front with,
'Cause crimes are crimes, and should be punished as such,
But to sacrifice human rights is a price too much,
And while a third option is available still,
As always t'will happen as Jack and Jill,
Well now i'm not sure if I feel better or not,
For now I feel happier, but I see our country could be shot.
