Jun 2016
she cries
as they paint her
with blood from sacrifices

womb numb from
too much swords
unwanted,
yet bestowed
as if it is
a gift

her hand was shackled
to a pedestal
wreathed with flowers
back arched in
pain

they watched
as the earth stifled
her cries

bowing down
when she was
buried in the ground
