I want to be a lily pad,
Floating so gracefully
I want to be a lily pad,
Where the water can comfort me
I'd see the reflections
Of everything that surrounds me,
Mountains on the water,
The willows and groves,
But the only reflection I'd dare to miss is my own
While my roots linger down, underneath the water's edge
My heart will bloom flowers from every single breath
The colorful koi will appreciate my beauty and grace
And still, I have never seen my own face
