Murky waters
Running deep
Solemn memories
You'd rather not keep
Pain and sorrow
Loss and dispair
Life's a *****
Does no one care
Broken promises
Shattered dreams
I'm on my own
Or so it seems
A downward spiral
Consuming me
Draining my life
I long to be free
From out of the darkness
As I adjust my sight
I see glimpses of you
Giving me courage to fight
Your hands stretch to reach me
My heart leaps with shock
I felt I was drowning
But you are my rock
My harbour in life
The anchor of lifes sea
From out of the darkness
You rescued me

I stand there at your grave side
Underneath me your asleep
I tell you all my wishes
And silently I weep
I tell you all the gossip
As I bend down on one knee
Happy memories of years gone by
As upon your grave I place a tree
A mini tree of christmas
Dusted with some snow
I talk about my children
And tell you how they grow
I can feel you all around me
Can picture you with a smile
You wicked sense of humour
Fills me for a while
As I turn to leave you
My silent tears do fall
Cause to have you here this christmas
Would be the greatest gift of all

You burn me with your poisoned tongue
Your vicious bile you spill
The hatred pours from every spore
Hating people at your will
Who gives you the right to stand so tall
Who gave the right to judge
What made you such a bitter cow
The right to hold a grudge
What makes you think I give a ****
About the thing's you say
I'll just hold my head up high
And simply walk away

Lying in a manger
His bed a bail of hay
A special gift sent to our earth
Our very first Christmas day
King's travelled to his stable
On camel's from afar
Bringing with them lavish gifts
And guided by a star
Angel's sang a heavenly chorus
Telling us of his birth
A very special baby
A saviour of this earth
He came to spread god's message
To save us from our sin
This world would be a duller place
If god never sent us him
So as we open up our presents
Say a silent prayer
Thank god for the world we have
And for that baby he sent with care

Loving and loyal my own paradise on earth
So full of fun laughter and myrth
I love you completely who are they to judge
I found true love and they sit there with grudge
Your arms are my sanctuary
Your heart beats through mine
I feel so complete when are bodies combine
My gentle giant so strong and so bold
Who's love does consume me from his heart of gold
Without you I'm nothing but pure misery
You released me from sorrow only you held the key
Jake you complete me so here what I say
I will love you completely till my dying day

He struts through the street
With an arrogant stride
A staffy at his feet
Fills him with pride
Baseball cap on his head
Peak points in the air
Yea blood I'm hard
And I don't seem to care
Trackies and hoodies
Are the code of his dress
Big golden chains
Hang low on his chest
Sock's pulled up high
Above his designer boots
I'm a council house chav
So proud of me roots
I'm hard and I know it
And I'll rob ya of bread
Don't mess with me
Or you'll end up dead
His attitude stinks
Filth falls from his gob
With a chip on his shoulder
He don't want a job
But under the bravado
He's as quiet as a mouse
Living his life
From his council house
His mum is on drugs
His dad is long gone
No wonder this bloke
Turned out to be wrong
So show him some kindness
Just a friendly word
Might just be the the thing
That stops him doing bird
I somehow much doubt it
But its worth a try
Cause deep underneath
He's a friendly guy

Alone she sits in her chair
Watching the world pass her by
A cigarette at her mouth
A weariness in her eye
Her face lined and gaunt
Her body a small frame
Every line tells a story
But who is to blame
Her children never visit
No one seems to care
For this poor lonely woman
Sat alone in her chair
Her story unknown
Was she a wife
Did she get her knowledge
From its a hard knock life
Was she a beauty
Or a woman of the night
Did she lie down and die
Or put up a fight
No one seems bothered
They don't seem to care
For this poor lonely woman
Alone in her chair
It is such a pity
Would be a surprise
To learn that this woman
Is worldily wise
But she's simply forgotten
Now she's seen better day's
Social abandonment
Instead of pure praise
Her body now fraile
Greyness in her hair
This poor lonely lady
Alone in her chair
