My husband forgot
Said no, it wasn’t a thought
Best I don’t reply

40 years married
Claims I am not his mother
Feeling hurt today

Objective thoughts please
Say a Word and I’ll explode
Silence is golden

Crock *** simmering
My emotion bubbling
Which spills over first?

Sitting here alone
All I can do is Haiku’s
Strange my anger rhymes

A series of related Haiku

I wonder if this form is a
type of poem On its own
I’ll have to look it up
But he mentioned his birthday is coming up soon🤔

I love him
I tell myself
I know that
We will be together forever
I don’t believe that
We could be separated
My thoughts tell me that
He’s the love of my life
Sometimes my heart lies and says
I could live an eternity
Without him
Like my friends say
“We’re perfect for each other”
And you can’t tell me
He’s not the one.

Now read from bottom to top.

I'd be rushing in
and brimming over,
we'd kick it
as much as we can
tattoo our names
into the totem of the gang,
yeah things break
down quickly
and if you don't
find yourself there,
you won't find yourself anywhere,
momma always
jokingly said
your friends will
be the end of you,
she was right
and the grin on her face
was the inspiration
around smart moves

you are your best, best friend

if momma never told you so
I just did.

How do I go
When my absence melts you
How do I turn away
When I am immersed in you

What else can I see
If you are all my vision
What can draw my mind
If you are each thought

Are you truly alone
While you are surrounded by fears
Are you left without voice
While you scream in silence

Is there a limit to my rekindlings
As I extinguish with each last look
Is it possible to breathe
As lungs fill with endless calls to you

At what point could there be too much us
Though there is never enough
At what point is pain exhausted
Though the void of apart is limitless

Where is the end of empty
Can it be found when we are cleft
Where do we cease to touch
Can we be disjoined at any point

Why do we bleed with stilled hearts
Must away be bottomless
Will actuality ever come right
Do we survive, or die trying
Catechism - A set of questions put as a test

Though most often thought of as religious in nature, it need not be

You're the snake
i'm the fool
take me in
make me drool

eyes aimed like a loaded gun
two barrels pointed
telling me to run

your lips say closer
I can't resist
you've got these arms that scream 'mine'
and i'm clutching your wrist

play with the devil
then tease me the same
i know it's you
that wants to scream my name

I'm no snake
you're no fool
take some
or take it all
