Theres plenty of fish in the sea.
But at least take the hook out of my mouth
before tossing me back in the ocean.
So I can move on.

Roses are black
Violets are black
Everything is black
Open your eyes
The first time I smelled burnt flesh
it was a bit like cooked beef,
but more surreal.

It must have been the crushed human
skull it was hanging from
that made it feel that way.

For I could never recall any
family barbeque with such an offering
from which to reference my findings.
I wonder if she ever thinks
about the world of **** I'm in,
this ******* unholy place.

How will I ever be able to
explain this line of work,
laser-equipped firearms.

She wouldn't hurt a flea
& here I am,
destroying **** to save me.
Early this morning,
the chariot swung low
for Thomas,
before the sun rose.
It was time for
my good friend to pass,
but still too soon.
Nobody knows,
can truly understand
the reasoning,
the ways
of the sacred.

And he left us
with a  wonderful legacy,
touched our hearts
with his humor,
gave us a great example
with his quiet,
confident,
good-natured demeanor.

Yet sadly, he
will not give up
his beautiful daughter's
hand in marriage nor
see his son graduate
the Naval Academy.

Lord willing,
we
might just
see those things
and remember him even more.

Rest in peace my good friend Thomas.

there once was a pyromaniac
he lit himself on fire
he should have panicked
but everything was just brighter
he lived from day to day
yearning to add to the pyre
he knew it to be easy
with a touch it would spread wildfire
but he was no devil
he could control his desire
so he lived in agony
even when his need grew dire
he'd never intrude unwelcome
almost like a vampire
but he was far too kind and reticent
to trap a victim whom he would squire
he scared them all away
with apathy and satire
he was too familiar with the anguish
his fire would inspire
he wanted to protect the beautiful souls
from the harm of its ire
he let his fire burn him to the ground
leaving nothing to quench the inquire
he watched as his fire ashed
his wings and invisibly divine attire
he let it consume him
alone, entire
there once was a pyromaniac
he lit himself on fire
he was resolutely resilient
he drove himself to the pyre
but in his final breath
he heard no lyre
he was a fool
that no one could admire
there once was a pyromaniac
he lit himself on fire
i would have held his hand
together nothing could conquer us, not the world, not a fire
You see him explode
in a cloud of misty pink
legs gone just torso

I sit here
and see those all those lost eyes.
lonely souls passing by.
There is no connection
just an infection
that gives us tension.
We are lost in the complexity
of this multi-media society
too much variety.
what will save us?
bring us back to the hush
For we need to stop..
smell the fresh air
see the leaves everywhere
because nothing can compare
to the hush
of slow
****** nature.

Tell me why
Perfection is not the key
But light from head to feet
I see the golden shine
I question the desire at times
For me and you is what your feeling true
No unreasonable words with no meaning
Simply the feelings straight out of the blue

I stick my head in the clouds
As opening up to someone is hard to do
Maybe your there as no one else appears
A chance to change and accept faith for who is maybe saint
What you deserve is a lady that is the same
From eye to eye
Things will come true
For not only me but also
you

Therefore tell me why
As I try to open up
I decide to hide
In shame I cover my eyes
Tell me why I feel this way
My shame stays the same.

Father i see you
i see you as you drink away
your screaming father why?
take another drink to calm the voice of hate
tripping and falling all over the place
father please slow down the pace
and take a seat for your sake
leaving me while you take mother with you
throwing away what you work for
on prizes that go over your rate.

While turning your back on who is my role model
shes tries to keep you sane
as you throw yourself to other creatures
she turns her head in pain
holding a drink to please the husband you choose to be
catching her breath holding each and every word
disappointed with the world
as she tries to get away
she sees herself stuck
in the same place as yesterday.

Father i see more in you
i expect more from you
sober you is such a different you
memories, great memories are in my heart
we share times together as family when your can is gone
you goof around and exaggerate
and make me laugh on my happiest days
these are the times i call you daddy
my daddy please stay.

I see you as many
your night and day
promise to be temporary father
and forever the daddy i ask to stay
be the husband my mother deserves
and grow old happy and faithful
as i teach my kids the same
be the person they chose to be
don't make them ask you
why you haven't changed.
