A nebula of starry celestial bodies

lightyears away, radiating cryptic melodies

to astronomical eyes, spying on skies

that promise the answers to all of their why's

reflecting light from neighbouring, Andromeda

and meteor showers caught on radar

This universe that clouds my mind, like

- comforting night skies, though our intelligence is blind.

Imagery of the Milky Way,
Captured by night skies
Those twinkling things
That give my mind wings
& slight euphoric sighs..
Are much more than -
the humble stars
that glisten in your eyes
- They're burning orbs
In galaxies,
         spectacles that entice...

stray thoughts
born from the blue
become daisies when
the sun shines through;
a dark age unravelling
the Elysian fields
from existential glooms
come ethereal yields..
Completing my 100th poem on a high note!

comically melancholic
moments a heart yearns to frolic
eternity's soul demanding
those infinite joys; reprimanding.
change's been strange
memories fade & the deranged;
ones burn like golden embers
repetitively remembered..
till you brush the cinders off the heart
reveals a ruby core; ashes swept apart
like a Diamond, nutured with pressure
a gem is born, stronger than ever.

deathly whispers
cloud ones' head
biosterous chatter
malign things said
Insecurity & her
friend, Dread
can't keep shut
till passion bled..
from every vein,
that's flooding red.
& in a slump
you crawl in bed
to wake to another
dawn, with
the voices tethered
inside your head.

abysmal feelings rise & fall
society hurts a shattered soul
I hate connection,
  proximity burns
     victims stay victims,
       till that victim learns;
       all you have is yourself,
      scarred yet starred-
    with glints of hope
amid the tar
hurts to know no one
understands
   trivial matters
flare up in fiery lands -
       of hatred subtly
         thrown into your heart
          like an eternal hearth, none
         cares to help put out
     hurts to know the perpetrator
   gets more sympathy
than the one who's crying
at his torn dignity

Hushed streets at midnight
          not a soul awake..
blackened windows,
          a neighbourhood in slumber
nocturnal breeze rustles the
                                   sidewalk trees
small dandelions
                    shiver and tremble
We saunter quietly
                      down the lonely lane
sharing 3am thoughts
                       and listening to the stars,

they twinkle but all that's heard is a faint -
                         Crickets' creak,

in a Silent world, untroubled after dark.
