your chest, let my nose and eyes
and throat and shoulders

dissolve into you,
inside you i will be safe,
we can be so whole

i'll tuck you in bed
i'll make you honey on toast
my love is endless

I used to read your poems
but lately you don't write
you're silent and aloof
you know that isn't right.
You can't close a door once opened
you can't abolish all your dreams
you're a poet of the heart
mustn't fall apart at the seams.
Say what you can in words
they speak the message true
spoken from the heart
the poems will see you through.
A hermit's not your style
a recluse, you are not
never give up writing
of things that you've been taught.
I used to read your poems
I'd read them once again
if you would send them out
(this one's from a poet friend)

the day is too short to not have play time
and lightheartedness can love deeply.

i jumped into the poets skin
found an endless waterfall
naked I bathed in its waters.

The sign to my garden
in bright letters said
"DO NOT ENTER"
But you obviously
couldn't read
You entered
and ruined the flowers
I worked so hard to grow

a million times
you stepped on my chest
and i just laid there

that deep pain in my chest

i’m sorry
you had to experience that

that crippling pain

so wish i could read my mom the poems
i’ve written about her

maybe it would bridge the gap between us

come to an understanding

because she doesn’t understand me

nor i her

all i ever do is want her to understand me
but she takes it defensively

it’s extremely numbing and heartbreaking

you know what’s worse than killing yourself


failing at it

From far deep between
She soaks the world around her
With waves of sweet fire

All through our relationship I was only you,
And I never knew it.
