How do I feel today?
I guess there is not much to say
Every day feels the same
The Frustration is becoming hard to tame
I pray tomorrow won't be just another day
If this infinite cage
Means your undying love
Then give me the key.

Sure, I'm pretty on the eyes
But don't shade mine,
I need to see.

I've told you before
To let go,
to set me free

You say I don't understand.
But if I want to know
I've got to flee.

I don't want your love,
I want wings.
Don't clip them, let me be.

I'll be home by high tea.
Anyone can lie.
I'm not coming home.
I've seen mine, now accept your reality.

there was a time
we broke the bones
of each other's poems
and savored marrow
explored what made them breathe
sought out
warm arterial pulses
examined the hearts
to find the essence of their lives

it was vital to us
in the truest sense of the word

life today is too cheap
to waste that much time
Few of you have been around that long. It's okay.

I made this for you
It's not much
Just a paper flower
Folded with care

I could've gone to the store
Picked one out
Found the most beautiful flower
And bought it just for you

But this one has something special
It has my heart and soul in it
A piece of me
that's just for you

This is more than just a flower
This is my gift to you
I want you to have it
So a piece of me will always be with you

Sitting by my window side,
Gazing at the starlit night,
I saw a tiny glow,
A little shimmering light.

It darted here and there
And its brilliance grew,
I watched entranced and felt
Such joy and then I knew

It was not a firefly,
It was no earthly light,
It drew so close to me
She came into my sight.

Just a fleeting moment,
I felt she could not stay,
A kiss she blew to me
Then my fairy flew away.
