Take one last look,
At that solemn face,
Remember what it used to make.

The joys,
The smiles,
The conversations that stretch for miles.

Take one last look,
Recall all that happened,
And you find a tear somewhat beside you.

For happiness is only temporary,
Loneliness is certain,
Those thoughts in your head,
Well,
They’re your burden.

Take one last look,
For you mistook,
This world for something else.

You thought it was blissful,
You thought it was tranquil,
But now you can’t understand it,
You can’t demand of it,
You’re enslaved by it,
Those chains tie you down,
Till you become part of the ground.

Take one last look,
That’s all you need,
To say your farewells,
And proceed somewhere else.

That europhoric entropy,
The blissful treachery,
That one feels,
When intoxicated.

That surge that fills you,
The pain that leaves you,
Drown in it all,
Smother yourself and fall,
Love it all,
Hate it more.

A forgotten hope,
A love that must not be woke,
I wish to forget,
That love i once felt.

It hurts to tell you why,
But this love simply cannot die,
I try and I try and I try,
But the world is cruel and dark inside.

So lest we foretell,
I’m under you spell,
You don’t want me,
I understand why,
For cruelty and love lay side by side.

So I beg you please,
That you approach with ease,
For every time you meet my eye,
My heart simply dies.

The life you live is but a lie.
An iniquitous mind,
A cataclysmic sign.

You know why you do it,
You know that you lie,
You know it’s delinquency every time.

But is it so nefarious to lie?
I only do it to be liked,
I desire to be loved,
So I cry.

Trying to find a way to get by,
Screaming out for someone to mind,
For being alone is an anguish on the soul,
A soul looking for a home,
Amoungst those that do not know,
That really you’re just alone.

Would they hate you,
Berate you,
Best you down with their scorning cries,
If they knew what was happening inside?

That’s why I lie,
That’s who I am,
It is my reality.

So please forgive me,
Love me,
Don’t make me hide,
I just need someone to confide in,
And tell me it’s all going to be alright.

A feeling.
A feeling that will not leave.
It stays, it lingers, it grows,
It holds you, it takes you, it breaks you.

You fall, collapse, entrapped by its grasp,
You cannot help but wear that deadly mask.
Those emotions you once held dear soon disappear,
Those things that once made you break you.

You cannot stop,
You cannot go,
Just stuck in the middle,
Just wanting someone to know.

So you choose to drink and forget,
So you drink and regret,
Let a cascade of human emotions unfold,
Let yourself become alone.

Most do not understand,
Most think you are mad.

But they do not see,
They are just blind,
They don’t realise,
You’re just broken inside.

A rupture in my heart,
The forever aching parts,
A colosal chain reaction,
Those aches cannot be retracted.

The cosmos, the stars, the sky,
Non of it meant anything when I was by your side

That ended when you died.
You couldn’t help but make me cry.

Trying to forget,
That you were the best,
I guess all is left,
Is for me to say goodbye.
