I sit on the step
And draw
The cold around me
Like a blanket,
Savouring the numbness
And the heat
That begins within.
Swallowed by the night
Drunk on wine
And stars.
Hot tears on cold cheeks.
Seasoning for
Chapped lips
Stinging
Bringing fresh tears.
I take refuge
In the silence,
Under the gaze of
Sympathetic eyes.
My friends.
My constant companions.
Drunk on wine
And stars.

You breathe me
And I love you
You touch my skin
It prickles
Electricity
Lightening in my veins
Warmth
Heart like a bass drum
Ears ringing
With the sound of your love
The sound of your touch
Lips
Like petals
My neck smells like flowers from your kiss
My hair curls around your fingers
I can only imagine you
I feel you in my mind
My chest
But I can't imagine you're real
Are you real?
Will we ever find each other?
Will you ever breathe me?
And will I breathe you?
Will I hear your love sound
Feel your petal lips
Will I love you?
Are you real?

You
I can't feel anything
except I can feel you
You're in me
in my chest, pulling things
stabbing things
clawing
It hurts but
its you
So I let it happen
because its you
And you are a star
burning
and also a bird
with enormous wings
Red wings
and talons of gold
But you are also the thing
inside me
in my chest, pulling things
stabbing things
clawing
It hurts but
its you
So I let it happen

And we kiss.
And in my mind I see stars and lovely seas that look like sunsets.
And I can feel my pulse and it feels like a song.
And then your hands are in my hair.
And warmth pours into my mouth that is like honey and everything sweet in the world.
And you make me feel like a winter flower. Strong enough to withstand the cold.
And my heart feels all fluttery like a moth enclosed between someone's hands.
And there's ice running though my veins but it doesn't hurt. It's a good chill.
And my back arches like the curve of the moon.
And your fingertips are like soft petals tickling down my spine.
And your hair feels like soft strands of sunshine between my fingers.
And all of you is sun shine.
And we kiss.
