let’s share the winter
the coldness warms our hearts
you are the snowflake
unique and special

being with you in this frozen madness
brings me a sight of happiness
the way your lips curl
when you smile makes my heart ache
from the thawing

you would look over me
to make sure i wouldn’t disappear
before spring came

everything i did brought a sudden snow storm
but you were my peace
my calming energy
as to not make the snow
turn into ice
and slip

bees appeared around the corner
it began to get hotter
more pollen in the air
you were still my snowflake

spring surprised us  
and winter took you away
you and all the other snowflakes
while i stayed

the flowers have begun to bloom
i wish you would have saw it
I wish you would have lasted
before our spring arrived
