between the earth and the sky
between the world and the abyss
he endures the necessity

always understanding, always between
always bearing difficult matters
he endures the unreasonableness

unable to falter, unable to complain
unable to release without disaster
he endures the unendingness

ever supporting, ever upholding
ever expecting, ever hoping
he endures til the morrow

and enduring, he enables our tomorrow
and enduring, he enables our surviving
zeus made atlas hold the sky from falling to the earth.
he was a titan and so he did it.

like atlas, an associate endured.

I sit and watch the seconds slipping around on the clock

And God....
I think of my life in relation to that time.

Here I am
almost twenty years of elapsed time here on your earth

Twenty years....
                       And what have I done?
Have I touched mankind, my brother?

So many mistakes I've made....
             and God sometimes I wonder,
                                                      if
you could ever except me back-

But then I realize the vast unendingness of your love
             and
                   I know-

Sometimes, The real world
Manages to diguise itself
In such a way
You thought you dreamt it
Imagined a score to the beats
And it made sense
And you thought that you did too
Thinking there was freedom to find
Something brand new and only yours
You put posters on the walls
It will always be
Once your bedroom
Once your boredom
But the real world
It seems stays in its place
You stare from beyond, there's no wind
Not even whispers, not a hint
The colours here are so vivid
You start to wonder
If you made it out at last
If the unendingness ran out
But the real world's always there
It crept back in and messed your hair
No matter how
Hard
You believe in what's fair
You can't escape your puppeteer
And it seems it
Just reached for you
Again
What was once true
Doesn't make sense
What was once wrong
Doesn't make sense
The real world
Never makes sense
That's how you know it is
There is no substitute
