I woke up this morning and you made your presence known, immediately
I knew you would be here and you were
although i must say you were offaly rude today
usually you're subtle until I'm vulnerable and in bed
today you made yourself know
today you were here
present
with me
on me
everywhere

Patrice Lamumba was in
South Armagh, Bandit
Country seeking advice
from The IRA on how to
get rid of Chubby Belgians
from the Congo the same
year that Down played
Offaly in the All Ireland
final, but unfortunately,
Lamumba back Down!

Nowhere is it more palpable,
than it is here, in Tullamore.

Offaly Obvious, just another
form of bog eyed mendacity.

The oftener one consumes, it
is less culpable they become.

When there's a Birr in the
month, more is the mandate.

Fake Dews is addictive, each
day one requires hair of the dogs.

Esto Fideles is their motto, stay
with us, we'll keep you right!

ONE NEVER KNOWS WHEN ONE WILL FIND A KNIFE
( for Andy )

Came to fork in road.
Stopped: picked it up: pocketed it.
Night falling...kept on walking.

*

I actually did find a fork at a fork in the road...how surreal I thought...how so real. I was waking 40 miles and it was getting dark and I thought ya never know I might find the knife that goes with it. It was good silver and I had it for about 20 years before it got lost in a house change. I used it as a paperweight to hold down poems. After I lost it the poems just flew out the window. I had gone down to a field in Offaly in order to do a parachute jump but there was never a clear sky to do so. The first time a clear sky appeared out of the blue I was one person away from going up and coming down but the clouds came and I never got to jump!  I was so psyched up with the jumping that I had to walk it out of me or my body would have exploded. On the long walk home it was that I met the fork.

Zionist Angered Saxons,
And, Shamericans agree,
That the Irish, despite all
Their literary achievements,
Are seriously and deviously,
Even devoutly, anti semantic.

The Tullamore Dew is just a
Metaphor in common usage.
It is usually associated with
The word Offal, or Offaly, in
Some instances, when there’s
A noun being nicely nuanced.

But it was The Palestinians got
