Protestry Jones May 2010
*** for tat only means that another generation seeks vengeance and war
Evening the score only means yet another must even the score
Just ask the palestinians and the israelis, just ask the tutsis and the hutus
Ask the protestants and the catholics, and the crips and the bloods
The hatfields and mccoys, too, were all about grudge
And what has it gotten us, where does it end?
Who is the enemy and who the friend?
I ask this because it seems clear to me
“Either you’re with us or against us” denies diversity
One man’s terrorist is another man’s hero
But you **** mine, I **** yours leaves a net gain of zero
And what about the children in whose faces war is fought?
What parentless future — or present — have they got?
And who stands to gain from perpetuating violence?
Who profits from the pain ... ... and the deafening silence?
Typically a handful of white men do, that’s who
It’s that top one percent, not you
A few families control the likes of halliburton, bechtel and g.e.
It’s their balance sheets that gain from the misery we see
Divide and conquer is their modus operandi, their mode of operation today,
Keep us fighting amongst ourselves and all blame ... is diverted away.

We all went back to sleep to finish a dream,
To be something,
To hold what we always touched and missed,
To exist
We see ourselves in the movies
We are heroes wanting to fly back in time to make things right,
To stop Nazis,
To turn off the radio and unite Hutus and Tutsis,
To show Kount the diabolic sign above his Christ,
We want to tell Bathory that pictures don't age
To tell Elizabeth that she will destroy herself in rage
We want to sacrifice ourselves for history to make this world smile
We love and hate Solomon at the same time
We want Jihad to go back to America
We are Ches screaming to the world that arms and ammunition factories need wars
We are Mohammads trying to restore the peace
And we all want the World Bank to set us free
How are we different?

In the end you'll question your beliefs
In the end you'll realize that your faith in god was actually the fear of hell
Everything you did - you did in vain
It was not god behind the rain
I'll be all ears when you walk back into your life
I'll forgive you before you apologize
I'll hit you with all the good you failed to see
But before i begin, I'll walk you to the corners where the sun never reached
The crowd ready to stone the woman accused of adultery
The pyre set for the woman accused of sorcery
Devils inside schizophrenics
A rabbi unclothing a girl to check if she's a ******
Nuns and monks thinking of a world behind silver lines
How many of you have noticed that its golden sometimes??
Babas and Gurus telling tales of their encounter with god
Pastors making up stories to blind the herd
Glue sniffers in every street of this country
Billions spent on religious groups and nothing for the hungry
Its funny how I got blackballed when I said that the way we cremate is wrong
And that's religion polluting this world
European Islamists are not even worth talking about
Sadly we live in the world where Robert Mugabe walks proud
Believe me when i say there's no god for those 6 million non-Zanus
The world has moved on so lets not be talking about Tutsis and Hutus
How many of you have read about the latest genocide?
Buddhists beheading Muslims and children left to die
Need I write more????
