She a lonely old black lady
She always dresss all black
She an old lady looking for love,
She has gray dark hair,
She has few wrinkles growing
She looked at the calendar
Time was against her
And she ask
Why i have no man
Loneliness drove her to settle for her lover,
She still stuck in her past relationship
Her lover had decieved her
Beat on her
Cheat on her
Then he left her
All the good things that she had
Was gone......

Seen thru the veil

Of her sense of unworthiness

)(

...... Sorrow from the big high sky drips down

beauty !

Can't you see !

Whatcha  doin to yourself (?)

It's what yer doing to me (!)

::

Hidden in your own busted eyes

Always naked on some filthy floor

With some one you know never loves ya

As you spread your legs

And you cry out for ... more !

& me

Watching thru the window !

With a clean dresss if you want to wear it

If YE ever choose to walk out that door

••

Sorrow and rain

The night in terror

Kicks out its " lovers "

Prays for the light of day to form

and perhaps  to stay forever

Prays for the child bound to be born
