String vests and tank tops
hot pants and short socks.

Remember transistors?

Pop said,
I can't understand the music today
don't see what they mean
can't hear what they say
Mum said the same.

but it was the Walkman and Discman
and taking a risk man
that took us beyond the boundary
where each sound could be
digitally mastered.

now
I'm an old man
and
can I understand the music today?
some say
I sound like my dad.

He's my witness.
Got no fiction
I got a beat from my heart
And its skipping
Like a discman...
He's my savior
Got no different
Tripping over wishes
Like its Santa clause at Christmas.
No doubt
Hes all love and im
Mother of a lullaby.
I flutter like a butterfly...
No promise
Hes like so what if I
Tell you that I love you
You love me like no other guy....
Drums and lights
He kisses me.
I shut the lights
And **** him till the sun is high

Is the music they play
Songs that you love
Loop over and over again
Songs to uplift, songs to mend hearts
Songs you can headbang to or move all body parts.
Music you play all to yourself,
No need to be embarrassed when it's only oneself.
To dream, sing and dance no rules to abide
Feeling that beat down deep inside
Ohh how the world so easily disappears
As soon as I place these phones in my ears...
