The Substance of grace, is glue
Congenitally speaking
We weren't born together
We came together
You introduced me to your Son
And it was eternally mutual
More than his swagger
(Much) More than his charisma
He sipped the wine from the glass at the party
And i felt a new era coming through
Like a warm gust of air
Promising a summer to follow
Or of the scent of a storm, brewing above
Suddenly, I was nervous, a little self conscious
But it only took a night over the threshold
A blood stained bed
Old curtains pulled off the walls
And a day turned to night (if only for a few hours)
And you and I were together
A declaration of co-dependance
You doused me in your grace
Marred it with glue
Mathematically speaking
One and one makes us two.

you used to have
the brightest eyes
they changed color in
the light
or when you felt
something new

theyre gray now
most of the time
sometimes they still change
to blue

but they never
turn yellow
you dont let them
you dont think you
deserve
to be happy

hes a monster
and you were pure
monster: an inhumanly cruel and wicked person
monster: a thing or animal that is excessively or dauntingly large
monster: a congenitally malformed or mutant animal or plant
he was all these
things to you
and more

it wasnt his fault
monsters feed on purity
and ***** it
he was pure too
but his monsters took it away

pure: free of any contamination
pure: wholesome and untainted by immorality

none of us in this world
are pure
anymore

even if the monsters
dont get us
we become our own

im sorry that i became a monster to you

Don’t know where I’m going
With this one at all
Just put pen to the paper
And let the words fall
Scrawling what’s second nature
To me
Easily
And since I can remember
Congenitally
Have I been
Symbiotically linked
To the ink
Synchronized,
Deep inside
It divines what I think
And I guide it
To keep reading my
Peace of mind
As it glides like the tides
On the shorelines of time
With the grace of a pianist’s fingers
Through chimes
With melodic
Methodically
Hypnotic rhymes
It designs
Then decides
Every subsequent line
As if stars
In a perfect night’s sky
We align
Vital signs
Intertwined
In a quest to describe
What alive and a lover
To die for
Implies

— The End —
