"characteristics" poems
A friend of mine walked up to me and asked me: "What is a good woman?" I replied "you would know if you were a good man" He said "Stop joking I really wanna know" "There is no definite answer, but when you meet one, it will show" There are many characteristics that make a good woman, but it would take days to speak them all Since my friend brought this to mind, I thought I would list a few for y'all A woman who is proud of what she brings and won't complain over petty things A woman who is well spoken and not opposed to listening because communication is key from the beginning A woman who is wise and able to realize the pit you are in doesn't matter because she will help your rise A woman who wouldn't try to control her man but also wouldn't be a doormat And when trouble comes up, her feet won't be flat (she's ready to go) A woman who never stops believing in the man that you are and the man you can become So much confidence in you, it almost makes her seem dumb A virtuous woman who prays for you more than she prays for herself Remembering God is number one above all else A woman who tries to pay for herself before you can offer Knowing the difference between selfless and selfish is something you should prefer A woman with the power of forgiveness But don't abuse it Because a good woman is not stupid She will lose it You will lose her and have no one to blame when your heart takes the hit If you hurt a good woman, in my eyes, you aren't worth the saliva I spit The ice cream no one would lick The one that gets thrown down in hope ants would leave a picnic To pick apart your existence Use your common sense Realize what's in front of you and cherish it Woman is the title a female receives at a certain age But it takes a good man to realize a good woman is on the next page I'm not saying a good woman needs to have this quote for quote I don't think any woman does, if so, let me know I haven't met any besides my family, but I don't go down that road I'm being patient, waiting for my good woman is giving me time to grow So I can give her the best Brandon Everett Davis, the world doesn't know To not be on their level, would be a sin Let's become better men for these good women

My name is Taylor and I have a tooth that tucks behind one of my front teeth. I say this as my first sentence because when I look at myself in the mirror and smile, that is the first thing I notice. But a compliment I've heard more times than once, "You have a beautiful smile." I  wonder how many things in life are like that... Qualities or characteristics that people agonize over are the very things that others appreciate and admire.

# You are your own instrument in the world orchestra Join the chorus Play a solo Or Simply stop Rest And listen to the beauty happening all around you The choice is yours Be your own voice Or follow another But only follow another if it resonates in your core as your true calling Above all else follow your heart Let your inner beauty shine so that the world can share in the special unique characteristics and traits that glorify your idiosyncratic nature wholly encompassing all that you are Making you special Making you YOU Because the best version of you is the authentic you And it not only brings inner peace but is also the greatest gift you can give the world #

LGBT. You may have never heard of this acronym before, Or maybe you associate it with liberals, or Obama, Or hippies. LGBT stands for: Lesbian: I was approached by a straight man At a gay bar, who asked me if I wanted to 'have a good time'. I told him no. I could see something in his eyes Flicker, and he asked me why I told him I only liked women In that regard He stood up angrily, And told me that I was an Ugly d*ke anyway. LGBT stands for Gay: I was holding hands with My boyfriend while We were walking in the park. We watched an older woman Walk up to us and say, "You're going to hell." I said, "I'll see you there," She glared at me before Storming off in a rage, mumbling, "Disgusting f*g." On her way. LGBT stands for Bisexual: I came out to my family today. My cousin said, "You're just confused." My father said, "Don't you dare walk in My house with a f*ggot." My mother said, "Pick a side." My supposed "friends" said, "You're just desperate and greedy." I've been dating an amazing person That I can never share if I want to Stay on good terms with "family". LGBT stands for Transgender: I binded my chest today With Ace bandages even though I know it's extremely unsafe Because I didn't want to be Seen as a girl again. I finally cut my own hair And when I told my mom why She told me, "Leave before your father gets home." I am sleeping on my friend's couch tonight Because my parents couldn't accept me As their son. You might associate the acronym LGBT With liberals. Liberals that don't use their religion as an Excuse when they're really just scared. Or Obama who said, "No one in America Should be scared to walk down the street Holding the hand of the person they love." Or hippies who refuse to conform to Heteronormativity, because it only matters That you love, the who or when or where or why or How Doesn't matter nearly as much. People are more than their secondary *** Characteristics. "Love thy neighbor as thyself", right?

How can you miss someone's voice you have never heard and how can you visualize someone'es eyes you have never seen? These are questions that alter the reality of someone's being. Even though I have never met you and have no knowledge of your existence, I know you are out there. someday I will find my King. I know that your lips are softer than rose petals and the Melanin in your skin fills women with desire. But as I lay in these silk sheets and relish in fantasies I know that nothing between You and another woman  will ever transpire, Because You're Mine. The dimple within your right cheek and the mischief in your eyes are all significant marks that you are no else's but Mine. The sway of your walk and the charm when you talk are characteristics held for a woman who goes by My Name. Our connection is nothing short of beautiful and  the intensity of our relations make any other love seem inhumane. I know this, even though to everyone else you still cease to exist. I know our hands will lock together like the missing pieces completing a puzzle. Making me Your's, but more precisely making you Mine.

Mine
It lies in my skin, It makes me who I am, It makes me beautiful, You saw and see me as lesser, You look down at me with displeasure, My big lips and *** were seen as ugly, Now seen as a trend broadly, My natural beauty has fallen in the category of fake, My melanin aches, My blackness sheds tears as my sense of beauty once hated, Now brought into the public eye, now everyone all bums and lips inflated, Something once that was seen as characteristics of my people, Now a trend. So sorry if I don’t follow a trend that is sickening, But I won’t stop my smile from glistening, Cause there are things you can’t take from us, Our freedom, our pride, our melanin.

Not A Trend
I truly believe that one of the reasons that the US is despised and condemned world wide is because of such views on such characteristics as: honesty, integrity, independence(this includes not thinking in a collective mindset which we do as a culture, everything is apple or windows, pepsi or cola, republican or democrat, people need to think for themselves stop claiming and just be), persistence, determination, morale, empathy, tradition/heritage, learning, chivalry, discernment, and humility. Instead of utilizing and perfecting these people of this nation and similar one's have become: prideful, dependent, drive-less, imprudent/unwise, insulting, ignorant(willfully so), objective, biased, crude, mediocre, and surface oriented. In turn we have neglected the responsibilities we have of ourselves. This has resulted in physical, mental, and spiritual capacity regression on a mass scale. Most people have no idea what they are consuming in their daily dietary intake(I mean really know what all the ingredients are and what they do whether positive or negative). Most citizens have also become, literally and according to the United Nations Education Scientific and Cultural Organization, mentally incapable and completely inane as compared to even 15yrs ago. We have forgotten how to have a community to the point that neighbors don't know each other anymore. We have exchanged the truly important things in life like knowledge and wisdom for wealth and appearance. We have completely forgotten how to survive without the aid of water treatment, electricity, and useless objects. One of the worst of all things we have stopped doing, is being involved with our government; instead, we have put our trust in them without oversight, and this is why we have been losing our liberties. I believe, just like Benjamin Franklin stated, that any individual who sacrifices even one liberty for safety/security... deserves to have all of their liberties eradicated. In conclusion, it is time to return our societies to ourselves. We need to relearn the truly important things in life and start living with ourselves, each other, and nature as we must to thrive. It is on us as a people to repair what generations before us, and our generations are doing; lest, I am afraid, our children and grandchildren will inherit the same ideals and expand upon them until we regress to the point that insolence, ignorance, and imprudence is the common norm... we have already begun to accept these. Open your eyes to the truth, at first it will be painful and difficult, but than you will be set free. WE THE PEOPLE ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR OUR FUTURES AND CHILDREN'S FUTURES.

What's this phenomenon called love, That remains a puzzle no one can solve? Love is the caveat for many broken hearts, And the byword for many gracious acts. Love has the characteristics of a witch And the coldness of a vindictive ***** Love, the greatest of human emotions Has many different variations. The good book talks about agape love, And Beyonce sings about drunken love. Its nature nobody really understands Yet men have worked with their hands and paid bride prices with cows. Some have proposed to women at the super bowls. And on talk shows, jumped on couches leaving a few to walk on crutches. Nobody knows love's true colors. Yet many men have spent top dollars To buy their women cars as gifts. And later on, end up begging for lifts. For love, Romeo committed suicide And Juliet died right by his side. Love is very irresistible And unpredictable. Love has many dimensions and many complications. For love, many people have died And much more has lied. For love, knots have been tied many bank accounts emptied, For love, wars have been fought And many Diamond rings bought. Love is a wrecking ball I call it an emotional hall. For love, tears have been shed by many in their lonely beds. Love is a mystery But the reality in my poetry. It's a kinda game in most men lives, A game played behind their wives. So what do we know about love? Is it peaceful as caged doves Or dangerous as wild wolves? Is it contagious as a disease, Or rumpled as a crease? Is it blind like brother Steve, Or silent as a grave? Is it deep like the ocean, and beautiful like Heaven? Love can at times be as cold as ice And at times, twice as nice! IvanBrooksPoetry©️ 21/8/2018

green eyes
Nature's wilderness has its characteristics which are its constituents. Never before had I seen such a splendid sight of grace and beauty as a waterfall. Life was being given to the green flowing lush vegetation on either side of a glittering strip of fluid motion moving down the land like a snake through grass. How enchanting the sight was and oh how comforting. So comforting because it was a relief to know that something cared for the young and insecure on which they were dependent. The sounds that came from the scene reminded me of the nurturing and caressing tunes that a mother makes when feeding her young. I must say that I was deeply overwhelmed by the associations which evolved in my mind witnessing this spectacle. Nature has supported Man over the years, therefore Man should show gratitude by caring for the environment in which he lives - Nature. Oh! if only people could understand and endeavour to achieve this ideal. __________________________________________________________________________

Prose: About Nature – A Waterfall
She smiles with wounds hidden Beaten by sticks Thrown by stones And yet she still remains the Queen on the Throne. She is sometimes treated as passing paper blown by winds that illuminate stains on streets As his feet seek to ***** her cleansed soul within... The baggage she carries. The shades of burden she walks with. The sorrow that she has married. As she feel like dust as it has no value when it's wiped of valuable goods.. He enters her purse as she is not obliged to be taken advantage of By him who played the characteristics of a two-faced lover... All thanks to lust. The beauty of a woman not appreciated. All her struggles fail to define her, but are then told because they are the reason of UBUHLE BENTOMBI!!

Ubuhle bentombi (beauty of a woman)
I feel like he was created just for me. I think im holding hands with Destiny. He Encourages me to be The Woman The Father has presdestined me to be. Hes like a dream given unto me. He sees straight thru me like he can hear my thoughts telephatically. Got me fiening for him like jodeci Plunging into the depths of his soul's love as I enjoy The journey of his story.... Hes The Instructor of love and Im the student thinking critically. He has left An impact on my life tremedously..... Im drowning in his love ever so endlessly. He is Waves from the oceans currents of pure bliss And I......I am his ocean shore that his waters of love kiss. He's like a precious treaure I have discovered. Unlocking the chest to look inside and see what I have uncovered. Im happy for what I have found Hes A King worthy of Sparkling crown. I wish I could wear his love Like a White Flowing Wedding Gown. I feel he completes me like a sentence Yah is the subject, He's the predicate and im the noun. With his words he painted a vivid picture of me Its a picture with definition, depth, and clarity. Its almost like he captured every little detail so Carefully. As if I were an image of an angel made so Heavenly. Apparently, In his eyes Im a portrait crafted very delicately. A beauty constructed with integrity. Sparkling like the waters of the deep blue sea. To Be held in The Artistic nature of his Creativity Is a Wonderful sight to see With his poetry I see The illustration of his spiritual Imagery I caressed the Compassion of his vibes that discerned The ambience of his Frequency. His Energy Sweetly Speaks so pleasntly His Diction shows me his style Musically. His wisdom shows the level of his Maturity And it makes me drawn to him as if Its a force was pulling me closer into his gravity Ill admit this experience is kind of scary But My lovely Beautiful Mahogany theres no place I rather be than with you standing by my side next to me. Feeling as if I am Soaring like a bird so Free. He Surely bring out the Best characteristics of me. I Believe Im Subconsciously holding hands with destiny #destiny #serendipity #Love #beauty

Profile: Yuwen Chengdu is the son of Yuwen Huaji, who was a general of the Sui dynasty. He is a warrior of Sui, only secondary to Li Yuanba, who is naturally super powerful. As recorded, he was as tall as ten feet with strong waist and body. In the appearance of golden face, long beard and thick eyebrow, he often hold a weapon as heavy as 350 pounds. Introduction of ****** makeup: ****** makeup, or Lian Pu, refers to ****** designs for Jing and Chou roles. It originated from daily life experience, describing such changes of expression as white for fear, red for shyness, dark for suntan, and sallow for illness. Most ****** designs attach great importance to the eyes.  The ****** designs for the Jing roles are made by painting, powdering and coloring in the basic forms of Zheng Lian (keeping the basic face pattern), San Kuai Wa Lian (three-section face) and Sui Lian (fragmentary face). These types are widely used to represent generals, officials, heroes, gods and ghosts. The Chou actors can be recognized by the patch of white in various shapes painted around the eyes and nose. Sometimes these patches are outlined in black, hence the term Xiao Hua Lian (partly painted face). The Chou roles fall into the following two categories: Wen Chou and Wu Chou. Features: ****** makeup bears three main characteristics. Firstly, it is the unity and contradiction of beauty and ugliness. Secondly, it is closely related to the personality of the characters. Lastly, the patterns are stylized. Beijing opera is one of the most popular drama widely welcomed and loved, no matter home and abroad. It is now acknowledged as a sign of Chinese traditional culture. The photos of ****** mask can be found on large buildings, product packages, various porcelains and clothes. It has gone beyond the stage, from which we can see the deep influence of ****** makeup. More and more foreigners have interest in it and begin to explore the secret of ****** makeup. http://www.toywill.com

**** you. **** you for being so far away **** you for making me want you I can say it certainly is not fair, What is this, the ******* teacup ride? I always hated the fair. Fishing for plastic ducks and shooting impossible targets Seems like a setup for failure to me. **** you for making me take a look at myself in the mirror And for making me ask questions For making me lie And for making me tell the truth. Why can't things be easy? Oh yeah, that's just not how it works around here. **** you for making my imagination run wild. For casting yourself in the movies my brain constantly films And **** you for getting the cinematography just right. I can't look away. **** you because all I have is my imagination. I can make you whomever I want you to be. **** you for curling your hair and for having those lips And for being comfortable with yourself around me **** your small wrists and your quirky characteristics Your eyeliner and your fingernails **** your sparkling smile and your hips And **** you for making me want you so bad. **** me. **** me for yearning. **** me for learning That it's not that simple, That nothing is set in stone, That people are confusing as hell. **** me for taking the time to write this poem **** how angry it's making me And **** the fact that I'm writing it because of you.

**** You: An Angry Poem
She smiles with wounds hidden  Beaten by sticks Thrown by stones And yet she still remains the Queen on the Throne.  She is sometimes treated  as passing paper  blown by winds  that illuminate stains on streets As his his feet seek to *****  her cleansed soul within... The baggage she carries.  The shades of burden she walks with.  The sorrow that she has married.  As she feel like dust as it has no value  when it's wiped of valuable goods.. He enters her purse as she is not obliged to be taken advantage of By him who played the characteristics  of a two-faced lover as he has entered her... All thanks to lust. The beauty of a woman  not appreciated. All her struggles fail to define her, but are then told because they are the reason of UBUHLE BENTOMBI!!

There are just so many snowflakes falling from the sky each year, That you and me, she and he, even your pets could lend their names to the snowflakes, And not worry about them being duplicates of each other, Because just like all human beings have different physical characteristics, Each snowflake is amazingly uniquely structured, You would run out of names of human beings in all languages, Numbering each snowflake is a better option, Mother nature has also made each person so unique, Why care about the names and origins, When everyone could have a unique snowflake!

A Snowflake For Everyone
Collection of characteristics that the outside world deems desirable: empathy, gentleness, sensitivity, the ability to love deeply, madly. Yet, from where I stand, the view is bleak, for having a heart that is big means that it is a hundred times more likely to be punctured. I wonder how many times my soul can take these blows before it withers into nothingness. My body aches of a perceived emptiness that is grossly full of an echoing, resounding compilation of disappointment, anger, and despair; and though I am sad in the free flowing of my own bitter words, I breathe in a jagged breath, heave a large sigh, and succumb to my self-induced anesthesia as my big heart is transplanted with some smaller, colder ***** that is not riddled with pain and dismay. I want to be small, simple, average, for there is nothing to be desired in anguish, and I now find myself writhing in envy of those who possess the gift of apathy.

Trauma Blunt force trauma a blow to my psyche from your hammer of hands who pounded into my mind making me fear your preconceived ideas of my undying faith to your never ever loving thoughts about my, then, innocence. so many times- Time How many times did I trust the snake who hung, from the oh sweet forbidden fruit who's aftertaste bit me every time? Who's deep rooted poison made me a pile of decaying flash, leaving me with a smell that drew all vultures to my feet. Vultures Every ******* one swarmed my flesh, biting, marking me with their jagged teeth that covered the tip of every finger, that kept the skin bloodied and bright red for identification. ID The ID of the body I see in the mirror, Jane Doe to myself, and target to the man who mangled my soul even more that it's vessel. Who's voice rattled my bones and hands cracked the chest casing under my already blue and pruple skin he kissed with his knuckles just- Just enough. Enough Enough of me he became and the red of my skin was no longer his favorite and I longed for my red to change hue and I checked its tone when I dipped into the rivers beneath my skin and all I did was make myself a prisoner to the body I painted different ****** shades to make him want me. But my red turned fall and I was no longer a color he could see, but a place he had never been and my characteristics were as mysterious as the reasons I thought I deserved red. Trauma
I was raised by a pack of fools Who proclaim Caucasians are the best. And are glad to fight, at the drop of a hint To put the whole matter to the test. They have an entire joke routine And descriptive names they repeat In minimizing and insisting that Their right to decent treatment isn’t real. There are references to some animals And unfunny comments about color. The statements about characteristics Of body and features always go together With a special set of gross anecdotes To cover any kind of non-Christian belief. And the refusal to consider equality As a decent attitude stands in bright relief. Beneath all this horror, not very deep, Lies a sickening river of hate and fear That fails to improve as education is Rejected year after disgusting year. Pointing out the error of their ways Might earn you a punch in the eye But the bigot hangs on to their rage And never gives fellowship a try. The American Bigot claims to be A staunch Christian all the way through Which forces them to hate and cheat And lie as much as Jesus would do. Of course, we know that Jesus was A preacher of love and acceptance But it seems that bigots never quite Made that Jesus’ acquaintance. So, here we can see we need to add Some terms to this kind of individual Whose relationship to peace and love Is at best slight, scant and residual. We also need to append to their titles Of masters of anger fear and prejudice The unhealthy pallor of indecency, Dishonesty, inhumanity and cowardice.

There will always be a great division In this life full of intersections The separation of the rich from the poor The distinction from shoes to coiffure The discrimination of races The characteristics of faces The gender inequalities The life one lives spiritually One's position in society One's awards, medals or trophies But what truly separates us all? The crucial thing that determines one's fall? The cause of life's great division Is having sight but no vision The ability to see real beauty Makes men truly wealthy Using time to make great memories Learning from all the tragedies Choosing to be happy at all moments And to live a life full of contentment There are the ones who have eyes but cannot see The ones who can visualize the unseen The ones who look beyond the horizon The ones who appreciate all four seasons The ability to see the same color in different hues Is something that can never be sufficed There are the ones who know the value And there are the ones who know the price

Great Division
The search within is one’s ability But from the story will be from the greatness letters In order to be great, one must bring in the goodness Greatness requires responsibility Yet, this comes being the one’s reality Later follows excellence But added with essence However, greatness established assurance Greatness in the teaching Also nurturing in the seeking Having the characteristics to excel But don’t dwell in Oh Well Once greatness is administered, you are now a success But it is acknowledging sustaining with a confess Then finally, the end result reaching satisfaction But there were nine functions in greatness that required action I had stated adding to the indication But it was all part of persuasion So you are looking to be great but show the greatness of you Examine all the words I established and carefully go through The greatness is waiting for you to open Are you confident, feel your ability and assured? Now it is up to you to make it happen, but following your own accord.

GREATNESS WITH A DESTINATION
Mark Twain to Helen Keller “Oh, dear me, how unspeakably funny and owlishly idiotic and grotesque was that “plagiarism” farce! As if there was much of anything in any human utterance, oral or written, except plagiarism! The kernel, the soul—let us go farther and say the substance, the bulk, the actual and valuable material of all human utterances in plagiarism. For substantially all ideas are second hand, consciously or unconsciously drawn from a million outside sources and daily use by the garnerer with a pride and satisfaction born of the superstition that he originated them; whereas there is not a rag of originality about them any where except the little discoloration they get from his mental and moral calibre and his temperament, which is revealed in characteristics of phrasing.” Mark Twain
