SNOW CRUST
WARNER BAXTER May 2015
Simply started with a little smoke,
then it grew into the daily ****.
Now every weekend lines of coke,
you’re addicted and it aint no joke.

So do your dust if you must,
just because of empty lust.
Around your nose it is a bust,
two rings of white snow crust.

Make a change put a plan in place,
if you don’t you’ll fall from grace.
On the floor flat on your face,
what a waste, such a disgrace.

Where Angels Charm
WARNER BAXTER Jun 2015
ashes to ashes and dust to dust
sleeping in a box so we don't rust

saving spirits the angels dream
selling souls the demons scream

dragon tears and angel's breath
bonds spirit, soul and life over death

with halo hat and angel arms
to take me where the angels charm

east of the sun and west of the moon
where cherubs float and stars are strewn

FAITH = TRUTH
WARNER BAXTER Jul 2015
Faith is the antithesis of proof,

Yet…
truth comes from
the mind and the heart.

So,
if your mind is full of truth
your heart will be filled
with faith.

of wine and rhyme
WARNER BAXTER Jul 2015
A poets words have rhythm and flow

the ink they spill is like a fine Merlot

the best with body full and rich bouquet

both have flair and finish like smoky Cabernet

so before you write your next verse or rhyme

red or white, don't forget to pour the wine.

ONLY FOR THE V.I.P. 2
WARNER BAXTER Jul 2015
I've seen things you'll never see
I've been places you'll never be
I've done things you'll never do
so many you wouldn't have a clue

behind velvet ropes only for the V.I.P.
private and hidden the public can't see

I know things you'll never know
I know things I wish I didn't know
laws broken without heart or brain
Immoral games they are all insane

I Am The Wisenrhymer
WARNER BAXTER Dec 2014
Spilling ink are poets minding minds of the wise
splashing paint are artists realizing their demise
William Shakespeare was called the poet master
Edgar Allen Poe  was known as the evil caster.

But what do I know? I am The  Wisenrhymer

The poet’s word is worth a thousand pictures I’ve heard
sometimes you can’t read the poem through all the words
rhythm and rhyme is just a sign of the times
or rant and rave is just a line of  the crimes

But what do I know? I am The Wisenrhymer
Definition- (according to Warner)
"an enigma of poetry, a poet of intellect without formal training"

Make Me Feel Right
WARNER BAXTER Apr 2014
every day's sunshine
when I see your face,  your face
can't help but touch you girl
if I don't, I'll feel so out of place

can't wait 'til tomorrow
gotta see you tonight
when you hold me in your arms babe
you make me feel so right
make me feel right

every day's sunshine
when I kiss your lips,  your lips
that really moves me baby
takes me on a trip

been waiting such a long time
can't wait 'til tomorrow
gotta see you tonight
when you hold me in your arms babe
you make me feel so right
make me feel right

every day's sunshine
when I see your face,  your face
can't help but touch you girl
if I don't I'll feel so out of place

can't wait 'til tomorrow
gotta see you tonight
when you hold me in your arms babe
you make me feel so right
make me feel right

make me feel right

Insomniac
WARNER BAXTER May 2015
<> <>
counting sheep, to get to sleep,   racing the sunrise

Mr. Sandman, if you can,   sprinkle sand into my eyes

jeepers creepers, open peepers,   wide as deep blue skies

toss and turn, comfort concern,   no dreams or no lies

R.E.M. I wonder when,   even in dark's disguise

insomniac, heart attack,   sleeping would be wise

a wink, a nod, a sigh, a yawn,   still can't close my eyes

I am the one
WARNER BAXTER May 2015
I AM THE ONE THAT…

                       Scares you to death
                        Will give you breath
                        Can save your life
                        Will twist the knife
                        Steals your thunder
                        Will take you under
                        Stirs up the ***
                        Will never get caught
                        THIS IS WHO I AM

I AM THE ONE THAT…

                       Lets the cat out
                        Will raise the doubt
                        You want on your team
                        Will push to the extreme
Has your back thick or thin
                        Will always win
                        You love to hate
                        Will set you straight
                        You can’t figure out

Because, I am the one it is never about
THIS IS WHO I AM

I am just like you

SO MANY THINGS
WARNER BAXTER Jun 2014
I've seen things that you'll never see
I've been places that you'll never be
I know things that you'll never know
I know things I wish I didn't know

I've said things that might not be true
spoken in private and out of plain view
I've done things that you'll never do
so many things you wouldn't have a clue
