Goodness By Victor Tripp
Victor Tripp Dec 2015
Always do good so that evil will flee
For evil is a force that you cannot really see
Evil takes the soul captive and goodness is the army
That kills this enemy
Victor Tripp Dec 2015
The cracked mirror on the wall gives off a crooked image
When problems came to me I thought there was strength inside
To fight off and overcome them all
Why ever cry when love is coming by to let happiness be
I know that its hiding just around the corner
So come speedly  my love and rescue me
Love is a big hot air balloon taking the breathe away
Moving with such inside on any given day
And there is always so much to learn as our love seeds
Start to bloom and grow inside as we hold each other
And know that the flame must never dye inside
There's no need for us to be clever just let it bloom and grow forever
Victor Tripp Dec 2015
If I could only feel love moving and starting in my heart
And feel tears flow all because love had a chance to start
Someone to come and keep my spirit warm on  cold and lonely nights
Someone who will say I love you and got you
Keep my heart and life running with ease
Someone who'll hold my hand and never leave me
I want a love that stimulates my senses
Puts me on a natural high
One that will give me structure with the wings to fly
Victor Tripp Dec 2015
Every woman wants a do right man
One who is faithful day and night at home
And understands with a slow hand
And his love will stay and just won't up and leap frog away
As your do  right man my devotion will shine bright a light
Against the darkest night and never fade
Honey take me now and understand that I'll always be your do right man
Victor Tripp Dec 2015
The night is still and silent with presents piled under the tree
Placed there while you soundly sleeping in your bed
Put there by hard working mommy and daddy
Time to send up thanks to the Lord
As his wonders on earth keep us in awe
Snow falling soft and white on another christmas  morning
Memories are calling of christmases of long ago
Of snowball tossing and driving down city streets in the snow
Passing strangers smiling and salvation army bells ringing
Asking you to please give
So that somewhere in the big town a foster child
Can be helped to live

Ex Hero By Victor Tripp
Victor Tripp Dec 2015
It sure felt good for while to be the hero
But seems that now I'm reduced to being a zero
Folks think right now I'm in the wrong movie
You up and stole my love than baled on me
Now this once hero spends each night crying some real tears
Your bags are gone that were packed don't expect you to come back
There was a fault line in the love foundation that caused a crack
My love life  has been whittled to zero and I ride along the streets
A very sad and tearful ex hero
Victor Tripp Dec 2015
I won't be satisfied until I make you mine
Come take my hand and let's travel on through time
And if you don't learn to feel like I feel
Just let me turn and walk away
But you really know inside I want to stay
It's hard to calm my nerves when you're in my presence
And I don't want any more of our precious time to pass away
And I want you to know that my feelings as of now will
Remain the same and pray my love will last until my dying day
Victor Tripp Dec 2015
You didn't buy the grits and gravy that went on your plate
And your shoes were under my table the last meal you ate
And though your loving gives me chills
Honey it never pays any bills
I've grown tired of carrying this heavy load
So mister take all of your stuff and hit the road
Your mama carried you for nine months and I've carried you long enough
Baby its time to you know I won't be buying any more grits and gravy
Victor Tripp Dec 2015
Living to survive  trying to keep myself alive
Having to always roam in and out of strange foster homes
Looking for two loving hearts of a mom and dad until
That happens  I'll just cry all day and be sad
Won't you bring this child home to our house today
Seen so much pain and suffered so much strife
Won't you take a chance and add me to your life
Reach out your loving hand  let me hold on to you
My dream of having a family only you can make come true
Filled with rising hope inside living to survive
Please let this child alone come to you
Victor Tripp Dec 2015
Go on now if you're leaving me
Since you seem to delight in my greiving , I'll steel my heart
As you walk out that open door and carry out your things
As I brought them in before
Don't know really what caused our love flame to dye out
When we loved each other it was over the top
But I need to know just when did the loving stopped
Victor Tripp Dec 2015
I'm dancing as fast as I can get away
From your beatings on my legs and arms you're insecure I say
When we first fell in love you were so handsome
And had such dazzling charm, but oh how over time a romance
Can change, and I wish now inside, I'd never learned your name
Dancing as fast as I can away from the storm of confusion
What I thought was real love was only an illusion
You're certainly not the same man and I'm dancing away alive
While I still can. Dancing away from from movie set dreams
And the partner who never was in this life, who he really seemed
Dancing as fast as I can from all the  pain and sorrow
And into what I hope will be a brighter tomorrow
Dancing as fast as I can

One million voices downtown Philadelphia and around city hall  and
The world repeat: No Justice  No Peace
Ebony men falling like black trees in the streets, police bullets cutting
Them down. Thrown into the back of vans and dying on the way to jail
Police with guilty hands walking away free
Seems that the justice system has failed
Stop and frisk various cities are trying, yet men of color keep on dying
Woe is me, I can't see the end of it , what measures will stop the flood
Of human grief from happening, body cameras on our finest in blue
Show positive proof of deadly truth, yet and still public sorrow
Still takes root, somehow in justice I,m still trying to believe
But with one million voices like mine lifted in cities here
In grief toward the skies, I say woe is me
Victor Tripp Dec 2015
Don't blame me for wanting to hold you so fast
Don't blame me for wanting each moment here to last
This wonderful new love of ours frees me from loves of the past
So don't blame me
Don't blame me for falling in love with you
Don't blame me for longing to make each dream of yours come true
For now only happiness in your tender arms I see
So please don't blame me
Victor Tripp Dec 2015
Overcome every challenge
Chase every dream and make it real
Life isn't as hard as some make it seem
And you will live the best life of all
Climbing every mountain makes your will stronger and stronger
And there exists no fear at all
Victor Tripp Dec 2015
From dusk to dawn I raise this hammer to hit the railroad spike
On the ground, when he heard I was serving life doing hard time
Daddy had a heart attack, and looking around in this crowded place
I know to home I won't soon be going back
I hear somebody say, son forget about your woman , she'll write saying
She tried to be true but found somebody else
Hear the sound of the hammer talking now to me
I know to the other prisoners a man can never show any fear
But looking at these high stone walls, I'll probably die up in here
Nights I stay up not able to sleep, holding steel bars in both hands
And slowly start to weep, listen to the sound of the hammer
Locked up here there is no hidden glamour
This is a place where dreams go up in smoke
No laughing here, grimness is no joke
I remember so well when the world fell in on me,
Mama forgive me for all the wrongs I've done
I know that there's no coming to my rescue
Said goodbye and held you at the prison gate
Turned away from right, now it's to late
Hear the sound of the hammer, beating the steel spike down
And the dead sound of steel slowly going into the ground
Victor Tripp Dec 2015
It's the final  countdown when buildings and trees on earth
Are falling down. The final countdown when panic and raving madness
Can be found. Rich men and women sitting on their money
With the poor left behind again in life too
And overcast days will be normal  here
And the sun will never shine on us  any more
Tell me brother what will doomed mankind do ?

Before I Go By Victor Tripp
Victor Tripp Dec 2015
Time fades away like the flower
Man tests his talents at his best and daily fails morality's test
Going fast now are today's hours
Worms do supp on dead man's bones
Not out of love, but simply for the feast set before them
Be sure to give me your flowers of praise now
While I'm yet alive to smell their sweet perfume
Let always your thanks for any kindness of mine
Enter my ears like soft bells
Please do all of this before I go
Victor Tripp Dec 2015
Children of the world join together and be kind
Invent something or come up with a plan that will benefit all mankind
Your legacy of love and kindness people won't ignore
It will bless the entire world for sure
Let's all come together while there's still time
If we're friends of all colors for peace it will blow hate's mind
I won't hurt you with no weapons of violence or war
And isn't this what we've all been working for
Children of the world can't we agree I need you to make it through
This life and you surely need me
Let's build up the world and stop tearing it down
And make others in each neighborhood smile
And not in sadness because of murders have to their heads  and frown
Children of the world please listen to me
Let's join hands in love around the globe
And let peace be
Victor Tripp Dec 2015
Love is chocolate or vanilla to my soul
And I need so much your hand in mine to hold
I'll share with you my cherry pie
Want to love your sweetness forever
Until the day that I die
You're the only one in this life
I want to grow old with
Victor Tripp Dec 2015
With love seeking you out
There's no place to hide
It causes folks to laugh or cry
When its really good it will make you sigh
Just watch out because it could happen so true
All I did was wonder how kissing and holding you would be
And yes, it happened suddenly to me
Victor Tripp Dec 2015
Love is no more than you make it
Always be sure it's real never fake it
Only let into your life the one that you want to take it
Love draws each person closer and closer ,
Ends up making two instead of a lonely one
Love will find you when not looking
Make two people joined at the heart
Bump into you on the street or crowded public place
And that innocent one is how love starts
Protecting your heart is never easy
Only let in the one you want to break it or take it
Take down the emotional caution sign from both heart and mind
Nine times out of ten , you'll end up just fine
Victor Tripp Dec 2015
Living on the outside since you took your love away from me
Dying slowly inside can't run away from myself
There's no place to really hide, love took it's gift away
Floated away like a beautiful balloon
It an inspiration like a locked door opened to see
But disappeared like smoke in wind blown air
But just because you want something I've learned
Doesn't mean that its meant to be
Victor Tripp Dec 2015
Broken hearts aren't easy to mend on your own
Until another  new love comes along
And while you're left waiting in tears for that very thing to happen
You must stay strong and brave all on your own
Somehow I could take heart blows and hits to my ego when younger
But when you get older it gets harder to defend
Won't somebody tell me just how can you mend a broken heart
And catch a dream that just went south
Why does a good love turn suddenly sad
Leaving you with screams coming from your mouth
Somebody please have mercy on me
Stop these tears  from falling down
Somebody tell me when love has fled and you're really hurting inside
Nobody can be seen or found
And you wish for no more sorrow
Desiring inside happy days tomorrow
As the World goes around, you say, God help me get up and win again
How can you mend a broken heart, just let me know
When you done it my friend
Victor Tripp Dec 2015
Nights in my thoughts, I would see your face and dream you near
But that was so long ago
That's how I know life will go on
The near distance closed between us
And spaces shut ever so tight
Now I know that my life will go on
Whether near or far wherever past love goes
Somehow I believe love will open my heart's door
And let me know that my life will go on
Love can touch at least one good time
And sometimes lasts forever
Never letting your joyful heart go
Now I know that my life will go on
Just believe with me right here
With no doubts or fear
And together this love will carry us on
Victor Tripp Dec 2015
Your love is soft and warm as a Summer sky
That's what you are to me
Victor Tripp Dec 2015
I'd buy bright and pretty things
And bring into your life all the joy this World has to bring
Imagine everything would be your special coloring book
Just as long as our love had a second look
I love your bright eyes and lovely smile
Giving you the best of my love
Come power my imagination
Victor Tripp Dec 2015
We're using up the Earth's resources oh so fast
Land fills overflow as time goes on
Cutting down trees, polluting every corner of the land
How much longer will our beloved environment last
Randomly dropping trash on city streets
This planet is all we've got since God isn't making any more land
Rivers and lands are badly strained
Fog shadows spread throughout the forests
And if we all start to care, we can clean up the mess
That was made and clean lungs and fresh air will come to our aide
And in the years to come we'll all have it made
Even the planets up have gas and  blowing dust
Please do your small part to keep our Earth clean
And know that in God we must all trust
Victor Tripp Dec 2015
When the Sun comes up each morning
You might just find me down
The reason is very simple, cause nobody but me is ever around
Looked to left, than I looked to my right
Waiting here for some satisfaction with all my might
You know that need somebody to love right here on Earth
And not from above , need me some soul shaking love
Love that I can feel way down in my bones
Need some love satisfaction from a lady that won't back up or leave
Me alone.
Girl if you're out open your ears to my hurting plea
I need some love satisfaction come by here and see about me
Victor Tripp Dec 2015
I have to tell your Ma and Pa
The way you treat me girl must be against the law
When you see me in such misery
Why don't  you rain down some good old fashioned loving on me
Baby treat this man of yours right
Why you want to sleep all day and go out the back door at night
When I'm feeling sad and all alone
Who you whispering to on my phone
I'm about filled up and about to hit the road
I thought that couples are supposed to share the load
Girl you have to learn to treat me right
You know you won't cook or even keep the house clean for me
Life in this place is just plain misery
From what I see this situation is plain misery
Victor Tripp Dec 2015
I need your love to wash all my pain away
It's a  I've learned to believe in
Thanks go up for you every day
It's so good to fall on my knees and pray
Love so perfect in each and every way
That's one of the many reasons that I want your love to stay
Victor Tripp Dec 2015
We were dancing on the love floor
It was such a fine romance, but as it was getting started
You picked up  someone else
So my heart never had a chance to recover
It was put high upon the shelve
And when I had a moment to look at what happened
You danced away with somebody else
Victor Tripp Dec 2015
Share a little love and kindness with your brother
Even though you both might be different colors
In this big city of brotherly love
Don't you know God wants us all to know and share His love
Sent down from Heaven up above
So share a little kindness and love today
Go on and give it away
Victor Tripp Dec 2015
Blues sits on my front steps
Waiting for me to come home
To creep out onto the vacant street and walk through
The rain wet street, like in old times of yesterday
Blues put her arms around my emotions
Blues starts into sly remarks
Blues goes on ahead
Turns to me and winks
Much like you do too
We walk as the rain touches our skin
Forgetting about summer rain wet
Because love claims our attention
So really nothing else matters at all , but this moment
And that we have each other together
So weather  matters not , just the laughter and no sadness
Then it's time for me to head home
And in that direction I start to go
Down well known streets
I salute the falling night, the street lights
And they smile back in caring affection
The streets shine with wetness
Raindrops fall down without permission
Their sighs are weary because they know
Just how much  I love and miss you

Jazz Song By Victor tripp
Victor Tripp Dec 2015
A sultry song,welcome as summer
Sliding from my heart and clouding my mind
Like I need you so very much
I grow faint when you touch me
Don't you know?
Or can't you see my dear?
Just what your fineness does to every one
Every word is precious to me
Your word is my delight
My heart hears it starting
Isn't this our love song?
Such a lovely sound
The air is warm, and my heart beats like a slow piano tune
Ahead is a new trail for us to follow
As we form our special dream
Composing our own words as we go
Victor Tripp Dec 2015
Her voice was loud in a small body frame
Somebody said: Oh, Miss Billie, please sing a nice blues song
In your little girl's voice, I could listen to your sad voice all night long
Sing, Miss Billie
Until the day is long gone
You been singing about real things that have been happening
Since the day that you came here to be born
Oh, Miss Billie, she so in love that she can hardly stand
Heard the drummer hit those skins with  drumsticks
Looks like a riverboat gambler, but plays like a real mad man
" What That bass man doing?''
His playing makes me sigh
And he plays with fingers on strings with feeling
Somebody go get me a drink of water
Because he's got my mouth feeling kind of dry
Victor Tripp Dec 2015
What did the World's ears hear? What did their eyes really see?
Ebony men bleeding sweat  in 4/4 time
Carrying the beat, behind the beat with the beat deep inside
Bowing the in- between sweet sound harmony
Strings crying like lost children
Horns tearing down walls of white rejection
Charinet  strutting
Its way through other notes
Like a Sunday -morning altar call
And the preacher calling out tongues of blues in his voice
And cords of long ago memories of joy and sadness
Piano key voice playing sweet ragtime  and jazz notes on the soul
Music , surely yours and mine in Americia
Victor Tripp Dec 2015
Born into the world as Louis Armstrong , he was called "pops'' in jazz
Circles  or Satchmo when he picked up his trumpet on the Ed Sullivan  Show  and London heard the black and blue notes
Notes sounded in Copenhagon too
Sadness was turned into joy every time he blew
Notes higher and higher in tune
And each one spanked like a bad boy
Even Bourbon street picked up Louie's sweet vibe
Victor Tripp Dec 2015
Jazz starts with rhythm in the heart
Along with drumming language
Notes drifting along the Nile
An Ebony man's drum speaks love
Signals in Gospel Blues Rap Victory
Sad voices lifted up from souls that cry
Victor Tripp Dec 2015
What's the matter baby is leaving on your mind? I need to know
One minute you say that you love me and the next that you don't
One minute you want to, and the very next you don't
I'm so tired of the way that you do me it's a crying shame
Baby , I'm so tired of feeling alone even when you're home
You treat me so bad , don't be surprised if my eyes and body start to roam
What's the matter baby, is leaving me really on your mind
I can't bear the suspense any more not one more day
And I've prepared myself that its fine
Victor Tripp Dec 2015
Memories of the past trying to put a hold on me
Going into the future not looking back over my shoulder
And I'll still end up being free
Making a new choice of my own , and lifting up my strong voice
Won't have to try so hard and give away myself
Looking in the mirror and yes I like just what I see
Still going to keep my distance from wrong and temptation
And stay real and always be free
Never going to give up , no matter how hard the test
I'll stand among the victors and come out being the best
Victor Tripp Dec 2015
Life is to brief to live all alone
I need someone to come to be my very own
I will care tenderly for you, you will do the same for me
Our love will always be forever
Come shower me with your love, shower with all the love I've waited for
I'm hurting inside as this love song I now sing, but when a true love
Comes, it can turn around and change everything
Shower me with your love, shower me please somebody
With all the love I've been waiting here for
I close my eyes and bow down on my knees and pray
That all my dreams do come true
Until you to me, I'll wait right here for you, patiently
Fairy tales in story books come true, praying hard and hoping
Each day and hour to fill up forever with you
Like the night stars that shine above in the sky
Our love and dreams will come together
Shower me with your love, shower me with the love I've needed
Shower me with your love that I've been waiting here for
Victor Tripp Dec 2015
Love is new to me and that's a fact, tell what should I do
And how should I act? I'm going to start living again
Said goodbye to Mr Lonely because we were never really friends
No more tears in the dark night silently falling down
Since love has come to us, guess I'll hang around
Smiling all of the time and busy gathering future dreams
Things don't seem as sad as others would have you believe
Sadness has given a pardon to me and on the subject of this love
I know we both can agree, but I know even though I'm a bit slow
Love is new to me
Victor Tripp Dec 2015
On the last day of November rain from the sky fell down on me
Soft as your tender touch just as refreshing
I'm grateful for the little and big things that you do
Did you ever notice the delight my eyes take when you walk into the Room. I want to love in to the next two centuries
So glad you want to spend that time with me
When  other people's dreams are tired and done
I still want you as the only one
To share the laughter and the pain
Victor Tripp Nov 2015
What are we doing right now to save our teenage girls and boys
Out on city streets selling their bodies and being treated like throwaway
Toys. We need to raise protesting voices and to our legislators really
Make some voting  noise in an effort to save the unprotected children
Every girl and boy. This is a daily problem in our country we see
With open eyes our children are hurting and dying and far to wise
We owe it to all of our children in Philadelphia and around the world
A clean and loving childhood every boy and girl
Human life people should not be viewed as cheap
Far to many are dying away from home and on the mean and *****
Streets. And before you lay a tired head down to sleep tonight
In your warm and clean bed, what about the children?
Victor Tripp Nov 2015
Once upon a time we really loved each other
But the romance slowly faded day by day
You started going to bed in a long flannel gown and bathrobe
To keep warm in bed you used to say
Pecked me on my cheek than turn away
After we broke in due time I got down and asked the Lord up above
Not to run into you in the stores or on the streets
Because somehow I might be tempted and old sweet memories
Just might come rushing back in on me
I wonder who are you holding now
And are you still sleeping in flannel gown and bathrobe
Does he know that you 'll kick the dog when nobody else is around
Once upon a time is all I now have to remember you by
Got to hold on to  my strength
But  sometimes tears make it slip
And I start to cry
Victor Tripp Nov 2015
Our time just ended and now I see it was just all one big laughing joke
To everyone but me, funny how love ran smoothly than stopped
I feel the whole world is laughing now but not with me
I should throw my hands up and say  goodbye to a rotten affair
My brain says just walk away why should you even care
You played such a leading part up and walked away
Left this man broken and down with a bleeding heart
You know it's difficult to rejoice at any time with a broken heart
And what the feelings had to say
When sorrow in blood has written down your name
Hope that one day love will smile on you again
But as for me, every day will be just the lonely same
Victor Tripp Nov 2015
Don't you know a good love is hard to find
You'll search and search all over for someone of the same soul and mind
And even when find that that special person
You're likely to make some grave mistakes
But hang on in there with everything inside
I tell that's what it takes
The very day I found you felt as if I was in an Earthquake
Every day now I wake up I speak to you in love's own voice
So very glad that you're my personal choice
A good love is hard to find
Inside now feeling so good
That you're fine and all mine
Victor Tripp Nov 2015
Swimming in darkness trying to overcome waves of confusion
In that vast sea nowhere to run for escape
Like being in a airtight room with no key
Walking around with a normal appearance but slowly going mad inside
Not knowing left or right wanting to stay in bed under the covers
You've found the perfect place to hide
Constant pounding in your head
Daily madness knocking out your needs
People all around but much to busy to hear a personal  plea
Swimming in darkness won't somebody help me, please
Victor Tripp Nov 2015
Rare and sweet beautiful to me are you
In the glory of your presence and your peace makes me whole
Unlimited and free is your divine love
Gave me a new song to sing
Victor Tripp Nov 2015
When we were two I guess that  tried
But somehow along the way to our happy little dream it up and died
We took a break and lost all that made us glow inside
For heaven's sake when we were two
There was talk at times about our marriage
Two white horses pulling a golden carriage
Time had us wave goodbye and that's to bad
Wiser and older now both of us
But left so sad
