As the day broke,
I took a walk through
the trail in a forest.
The golden rays of the sun
penetrated through the thick canopies.
The soft sound of a cascading brook,
broke the silence of tranquility.
A little walk downwards,
as I followed the sound,
I found
a beautiful waterfall in all its glory
as if it had been waiting for me,
a beautiful, serene picture
to capture in memory.
If I were to leave tomorrow,
would you ever remember me?
would you visit my grave -
Is that how you'd remember me?
Or would you turn me
into a poem of yours,
and keep me alive through you?
the blood of the covenant
is thicker than
the water of the womb

my own flesh and blood
have let me down
countless times

however the family
I have made along the way
have helped me
more times than
I've been let down by blood

the familial ties I have now
will last me longer than
any blood relations

Some have fear
of the dark.
Some have fear
of loss.
Some have fear of
having fear.
Some have fear
of people.
But I have fear of
myself.
having fear is common. But having different fear makes people different.
"What happens when you get angry?"

"I fixate. My head hurts. I have tics.
I cry. I lash out.
I become a different animal."

"Which animal would you like to be?"

"A human."

"Are you taking drugs?"

"Yes."

"Are you drinking?"

"No."

"Have you many friends?"

"Aquaintances, yes."

"What would be your dream day?"

"One without fear."

"Why are you here?"

"To talk."

"Is it helping?"

"No."

"I'll see you next week, Richard."

"Yea, thank you, Doctor."

Even when the sun has set,
The stars still shimmer bright.
Her radiance enfolds my soul,
Each morning and each night.
Released beyond this fleeting world,
Expanding past all time,
A serene embrace unites our hearts;
Love’s glow now shapes this rhyme.
I live my life
hidden away,
far from people
or dragons to slay
Solitude
is my preferred choice
Poetry
is my one true voice
