Stretching over the mellow fields and haughty mountains,
I rest over the vast blue oceans that hides unknown tales.
Over countries divided by lines of enmity,
I remain undivided sharing equal beauty.
I hold the Sun as I watch the farmers
Preparing to feed his nation,
The nation that works at airconditioned buildings.
Immortality cursed with events from time immemorial,
Each engraved in my soul,
People left, planet changed, histories made
What didn’t change was me.
My infinitude shows me the poverty and richness of the world,
And war that never ends but gives birth to dead children
Lying beneath me.
Dark clouds engulf me, as soul bleeds into tempest
The trees dance and the leaves gleam in my tears,
Oblivious to my pain.
Life returns to barren lands and river overflowing,
Every tear is every event of my existence.
Someone’s pain, someone’s happiness and someone’s love
Are all in my tears.
Wanting to sink and merge into the ocean,
When I was painted in seven hues of rainbow.
I travel down the horizon to meet the land
Where I feel at home.
The night draws in, stars bejeweling me,
Taking the queen of night into my arms,
I whisper away my stories.
