I have lost my mind
with all these piles
where did it land?
how with all these
piles will I find it?
I will say it bounced
then I will pounce on it
or it will roll
then I will use the
hole in my head
and just let it roll right on in.

Love is like an onion
you taste it with delight
and then later on
you wonder
whatever made you bite

By Unkown
I do not know who wrote this but it has been around as long as I can remember. Just thought it was cute wanted to pass it on.

When you are gone I' am sad
There is no energy to be had
I look at the spot where you lay in our bed
I pray God will deliver you home safe to me
Trying not to be scared
But I' am anyway

I'm scared when you're not here
How do I fight the fear?
It seems to get worse, with each passing year

Maybe because I love you more and more
Maybe because I was just fourteen
when we went out the first time
Maybe because I never had a chance
     to be on my own
Maybe because I was never with anyone else
Maybe because I never grew up

So what will happen if you die before I do?
I will follow your path and die too.

Oh the memories of yesteryears
With some, you smile
And some, you cry
Memories sing you a song
And then say good-bye
It happens all the time
And that can be fine
But, you remember at your own cost
Because some memories
Sure can make you feel lost
Memories are fine
When they keep their place
Memories that don't cause your mind to race.

And you catch yourself a listening
To a Mocking bird singing his songs

You realize what you missing
Cause you hardly ever listen
To a Mocking bird singing his songs.

To me mother you're special
Understanding true and fine
You always think of others
You leave your own wants behind
I can tell you that I love you
And still, it does not express
The way I really feel
To me mom, you're the best.

I am not finished, I wanted to talk to you,
You were yanked away from me Unwillingly,
Wrongfully, and totally.

Where there was some there is none,
What can I do, what can I do,

This man who did this needs to die!
I want him to feel the fear he made my daddy feel,
Looking down the barrel of that gun, shot right between his eyes,
I want him to know the feeling of life draining away,

Nothing he can do or say can make that,
Awful, Empty, Sinking feeling go away.

God, please forgive me for what I feel,
I know it is evil and wrong,
Revenge is yours, Lord, this I know,
This hate I feel, please, Lord, make it go.
AMEN

When I got married
Joe picked the song
"Take The Ribbon From Your Hair"
This was our first dance
He asks the band to play it and why
The band announced it, and Joe and I danced to it
It was the father and daughter dance
He was so sweet to think of it.

Born in Big Springs Texas you know,
Left for Selma Alabama,
Went to Abeline a few years ago,
Couldn't stay there so I moved again,
Ringgold Texas is my hometown friend.

There on the white dirt road I walked each day,
To the six-room schoolhouse three blocks away,
I ended up in Mrs. Henery's class,
Which was fine with me.

Just walking home from school one day,
I walked by Durham's house along my way,
This boy would bother me every day,
I told him if he spoke once again,
Me and my daisy would come back for him,
He would be sorry if he did not go in.

So, me and my Daisy returned in 10,
There he stood with that big silly grin,
I raised my Daisy and ask this of him,
Where did he want it in his fat tummy or chin?
He just laughed without believing me.

Well, one doctor's visit is all it took,
He never spoke to me again.

The playful memories I hold in my heart
Of my dear sweet father whose death tore at our hearts
I know daddy would want me to be strong
And go through life as he did with God's song in our hearts
Daddy's faith held strong all through the years
He sang it out till it rang in our ears
I pray it sinks in and stays with me
So one day I can sit high next to him.

My mother, my mother, she left my side
She is now with Jesus way up high
I'll miss her look, her love and embrace
All my fears away they would chase
It's hard I know to bear the pain
But, I have to go on we'll meet again
I'll try and be tough and hold up my chin
Because that's the way mother would have been.

The man you gave me to love more than any other
Is fading away in front of my eyes
Lord, please tell me how to except this
I love you Lord, but I love him more

I know I should love you most
Please tell me how to do this
He doesn't deserve this suffering
Then neither did you Lord

I know you don't cause pain and illness
I know you could heal him
You know he is a good person

Please heal him, please don't take him
I know you are a jealous God
Please let me keep him, I need him more than you.

The night will fall it always does
The stars come out and shine above
The moon is there so round and fine
Above the treetops at certain times
Shadows are gone they all hide-a-way
But they will be back the very next day
Everything rests for a while
But it is not long till morning will smile.

Try never to have a frown

Through the air I watch them fall
The colors of Winter and Fall
And thank you Lord for them all.

Ocean so deep with fish
Red, blue, and pink
In waters of Blue and Green
With several colors in between
Sand and shells and different
Swimming things with tails
Salt up your nose, Sun in your eyes
But still, you love it
With all its surprise
There is so much to do
And so much to see
In that big open ocean
We call the sea.

Oh, my goodness, 48!
It might be too late
You better blow all those things out
with the big 50 looming so close
you sure don't want to tempt fate
you might not have any cake with icing on it
Happy Birthday
and many, many more
and may each one be better than the one before.

Dusty boxes with dusty books
That holds the memories we took
I wish we could go back
To do it all again
There is not one thing
I wouldn't do again

From the first time, we became one
I knew we would become
The pair, the couple, the lovers who stayed
The ones who made it all the way

Whatever the future is
We will be together
Whichever one goes first
The other will come along soon

Then who will remember
Those dusty boxes and dusty books
That holds all the memories we took.

There is not one thing I would change.

From the first time, we became one
I knew we would become a pair
The couple, the pair who stayed
The ones who made it all the way.

Whatever the future
We will be together
Whichever one goes first
The other will follow

Then we will become one again
His ashes with mine, will be spread
Over our home place.

Then who will remember
Those dusty boxes and books
All those memories we took.

On a porch of cement and black rod iron poles
In a discarded chair from  many years ago
Quietly he ponders the life he once knew
He thinks of his children and how they grew
He dreams of a wife who is not by his side
But, in his heart, he feels her close by
His days are so long he's nothing to do
So he sits and wishes he could start life anew.

On our way home to mom and dad
To share the love we all have
Through the woods, all blanketed in snow
In this big red sleigh going so slow.

The ground is covered with snow so white
Stars shine above and light up the night
Trees are covered in blankets so soft
Oh, look at that snow the wind blew a loft
It sparkles and shines just like glitter.

And in the distance, you will see
A little old house set between two trees
The windows are lit up and yellow inside
Their sleigh is here their not on a ride.

The rickety old fence about to fall down
And on the front porch lies an old hound
The stars are high and twinkling above
I'll bet that old house is full of love.

Nestled in the furs so deep in the woods
I know that flickering fire sure would feel good
Cakes, candy, cookies, and pies
All these we smell as we ride by
I'll bet there's a family- like yours and mine
Behind those old walls set deep in the pines

Such a precious gift
All our love for you just pours
Each day when we pray

You now make important
Decisions of your own.

Here in our free country of the U.S.A.

Look favorably upon us dear Lord
Help us light a lamp of learning
Lord with your blessing it will shine
Let it shine now and through all the years to come.

When I look out the window
what do I see a little bitty
blue bird looking back at me.
it flutters around just pecking at the ground.
then a big bird comes out
and scares it away.

I looked out my window,
what do I see?
All of God's blessings
he has given me.

To a mom and dad who can't compare
Right or wrong they come through strong
When life falls on me like a bomb
She's always there my mom
I've been good and I've been bad
I am so glad you were my dad
Through thick and thin with him, I win
With all these thoughts
I keep in mind how much
I love those parents of mine.

He walks with a limp, and bares a frown
As clouded eyes scan the ground
His hat cocked sideways upon his crown
At his feet strides his old hound
Tattered clothes cover his limbs
Holding out the cold that sticks him like pins
Face of lines etched deep with age
He walks along as if in a daze
Shoes with soles worn so thin
Hoping the miles of life to win
He is lost in time dear to his heart
His mind struggling not to part
Silver hair that reflects the sun
Turned with times that can't be undone
He hopes again, but all in vain
For the summer sun to put out the pain.

People say that
People do this
People do that
They try to predict
what's under my hat
They will never guess that
Be it good or bad
Only God and I know
So don't try to guess
It makes you look less

Pets are different as are people
Which is in control, do you know?
They are side by side and may think as equals
The feelings they share are beyond compare
They look into each others eyes
With feelings that can't be disquised
Companionship, love and, trust for these are a must
Some may think it is silly, but really
Pets are friends till the end.

Oh, how soft you hit the ground
You make things grow
And smell so sweet

What do you hide?
Some shoes or boots
A boat that *****.

River so wide
What do you hide?
A soul or two
Who very few knew.

What do you hide?
Pebbles and pennies
I wonder how many

River so wide
What do you hide?
Gold and treasure
Which is your pleasure?

River so wide
What do you hide?
A story or secret?
And you plan to keep it.
