It all just takes time
Time to grieve from a loss
Of someone that will no longer be there,
Of that situation/routine that you were once used too,
Of that love, that has now turned into pain
Know, that there will be someone, sometime, will come along again that will care.
Time allows you to heal, and slowly change from those things that you used to do.

Take the time you need for everything,

Time for patience,
Time for understanding,
Time for balance,
Time for communicating,
Time to see clearly,
Time to find a new prospective,
Just Time...

Lots of Time,
Time doesn’t fill that emptiness,
Of that change.

Time to help you,

LIFE IN A POET’S HEAD

When it comes it flows.
When it doesn’t it goes.

The words just happen over time,
And somehow form in rhyme.

No need to think too much about it all too long,
Sometimes, they almost want to form into a song.

Wondering what will come to me next,
This unique gift makes me feel at my very best.

To be able to express myself, in a way, that I can’t in any other style,
The words just flow naturally, some in short time or maybe in a while.

When the words arrive it all just makes sense,
No need to keep sitting on the fence.

To leave the reader a message/lesson or thought of hope,
To be able to help them throughout their journey and help find a way to continue to cope.

It’s the greatest feeling of achievement, and emotion, one would have accomplished from their words,
To have felt that their message had been translated correctly and heard.

Or for the reader to find their own translation,
From your words of creation.

‘Give a creative person a pen not a gun’,
‘and this weapon, will be more deadly than anyone.’

Words of wisdom, will always stay put in someone’s head,
Words can be used as kindness, or remain stinging from what was harmful, or rude, that once was said.

My heart feels so sore

wanting more and more.

I can’t eat
My stomach is so full/sore
But my mind keeps

I can’t drink

My brain keeps
Wanting more and more.

I can’t stand
My legs are so stiff/in pain/weak/sore,

Telling me just to keep going,
A little bit more.

When will this day be complete/end?
So that my mind,
And my body,
Wil re connect and meet again?

To try once more
To do this all again.
From the beginning,
Until it’s the end?

All I want is sleep
Just for the day,
To not have so much going on,
So I don’t have to keep going to and from.

All these things that I need to do, aren’t even for me
Nobody really knows, what you have done, or really sees.
When you're, actually, screaming inside, for a small break or a hand,
you just have to keep on going, even when you can't no longer still stand.

LOSS OF A PARENT/LOVED ONE

When you have a loss like no other,
By this I mean your dad or mother.
Your support network opens, their arms to you,
And sends you all their love and condolences too.

This is a hard hit to take,
So, in life you then try to make.
A new turn in your journey to come,
And spend more time with those you love, that won’t/don’t take you for a run.

You may even, withdraw for a while,
And no longer, find a reason to smile.
Your heart, is left feeling, continuously empty,
You block out, those emotions, even though, you have/feel plenty.

You don’t want to see or do anything,
And your heart will, for a long time, continue to sting.
You try to keep your mind distracted,
And try to stop your emotions, that are, being sensitively reacted.

Has made me feel, at my, very best.

She’s standing there on the corner,
Waiting, watching, praying
That she will be safe for the night
That she will score her next job
That she will be treated with respect
That she will not be judged.

She’s standing there on the corner.
Waiting and wondering,
Why life is so cruel to her.
Why she was drawn this card in life.
Why she is here.

She’s standing on that corner.
Watching/observing
The people walking past her.
Thinking quietly of the situation she’s in.

As a car just pulls up
She wavers in her potential new client.
Reassuring them that it’s okay.
Making them feel at ease.
She wonders of/about places that she will go too.
And what may or may not happen.

She’s standing on that corner.
Praying silently.
Just in that corner
Away from civilization
Just on her own
Just keeping to herself

As you walk past and see her on that corner.
You may find yourself looking down on her.
You may think she’s a low life.
With no pride with no self esteem
With no respect
No goals and
no love for herself

How wrong are you/we to think of it this way.
She is a survivor.
She is stronger than you or I
She’s got street smarts.
And inner strength
Courage and bravery.

She’s making something of herself.
Slowly and eventually
Who are we to judge?
We haven’t heard of her/ their story.
We don’t know how she has ended up where she is.

She’s trying her best to make something of herself.
To pay her rent
To pay her bills
To put food in her mouth
Maybe even her kid’s mouth

She’s a woman/lady.
She’s a scared young girl.
She’s a mum.
She’s a cleaner/maid.
She’s a nurturer.
She’s a councilor.
She’s too- a person.

-Never judge a book by their/It’s cover,
Have you walked a mile in their shoes?
(You haven’t walked a mile in their shoes.’)

Say unlikely or dislike.
Such powerful words
That usually cannot be taken back.

Never say never or hate
Unless you truly mean them.
They are often overused,
and abused.

Never say Never or Hate
Even using these words,
out of bait.

When your angry,
and/or all fired up,
It can leave that person/or you,
In an emotional/terrible state.

Never just say Never
Or use the word Hate.
It’s a word that is irreplaceable,
And something that can’t be erasable.

NO GOODBYE

You are so close,
and yet so far,
One minute we cross paths,
Next minute,
you’re just gone,
in a whole other country/place.

Social media does help that side a little,
To feel closer,
To you.

When before it was a phone call,
or a letter,
That can often take a few weeks,
Will we meet again,
I wonder?
If again?

Just to give you a hug,
To say to you that everything will be okay,
To see you smile,
again,
To feel your touch again,
only you can give,
To me,
and that only,
I can give,
to you,
again.

If I hadn’t reached out,
How did you leave feeling?
Were you alright?
Did you want anything more?
But could not,
Because of your/the circumstances
and your situation that arose?

Are you happy,
That I reached out again?
I wonder,
If we would have been,
as close, as we once were.

Would it have mattered to you?
The importance of how I felt about you.
Or was it,
that easy,

No words, can exp re ss, what has happened to my dear friend and his family today,
No words, can describe what I want, to say.
All I can do, is it and pray,
For them, to get through this, and be okay.

No words, can exp re ss,
All, the destr e ss,
I really don’t know, what to say,
After, something like this happens, how do you, find your way?
                                      
To keep going on,
When all you would keep thinking, is how it went so wrong? And why?
Why did no one help her cries?
It’s too late, after another, beautiful soul/person dies.

One too many taken, by this illness, when is enough, enough?
So many out there are finding it tough.
This is going on everywhere,
Around the world, around all of us,
We need to do something, more, somehow, and start making more fuss.

How will we get them to listen to our cries?
Before another beautiful/soul person dies?
Something more needs to be done,
Before someone else loses, another precious loved one.

Why? isn’t this question, continued to be asked? Why?
Too many, people are suffering, can’t you hear their cries?
Too many, people have given up, because it’s too hard for them to seek help, when they have tried.

This illness, is silent, and just too strong,
This has been, going on way, too long.
For this, to be ignored, for another day,
For, my dear friend, and family, I prey.

That something more, will be done,
For the memory, of their precious loved one.
No words can exp re ss,
Their whole life is/has been turned upside down, in such a mess.

This is our cry,
Please don’t, let another beautiful/soul person die.
