NO GOODBYE
You are so close,
and yet so far,
One minute we cross paths,
Next minute,
you’re just gone,
in a whole other country/place.
Social media does help that side a little,
To feel closer,
To you.
When before it was a phone call,
or a letter,
That can often take a few weeks,
Will we meet again,
I wonder?
If again?
Just to give you a hug,
To say to you that everything will be okay,
To see you smile,
again,
To feel your touch again,
only you can give,
To me,
and that only,
I can give,
to you,
again.
If I hadn’t reached out,
How did you leave feeling?
Were you alright?
Did you want anything more?
But could not,
Because of your/the circumstances
and your situation that arose?
Are you happy,
That I reached out again?
I wonder,
If we would have been,
as close, as we once were.
Would it have mattered to you?
The importance of how I felt about you.
Or was it,
that easy,
or easier,
to
Move forward,
to,
just,
Forget,
Without saying,
a
Goodbye.
