Rolls down the mountain
Dirties and turns brown
Debris

It's momentum keeps it going faster still
Doesn't know what it'll crash into
When it does it'll make a loud noise
And let everything out
Like confetti
Dash Dec 2020
An occasional half smile, half frown
Just biding time and waiting for the next wave of feelings to hit
A sweaty sticky body surrounded by a built up mess
Time just passing by without a second glance
Hoping I'd have the energy to get out of bed
And wishing someone would come to get me out of my head
Dash Dec 2020
He leads and I follow
Unprepared, I hope he can save the performance
The audience watches and laughs

A little yellow duck led by a ******* swan
Comical and hopeless

At the end I bow
But the audience is gone and so is the swan
Watching Princess Tutu right now.
Dash Dec 2020
On an overcast day
Dark and muted
I'd like to part the clouds

My bare hands reaching up above
Revealing the sun through an opening
And letting its rays shine just on me
Dash Dec 2020
Snowfall through a window
The light of a street lamp

Longing

Tragedy struck when you least expected it
Innocence,
Tragedy tries so hard to strip
Cry if you need but don't give up

A celebration of life
No matter how faint the light

Keep moving until you get back home
Keep playing that tune to keep warm
Keep that smile so your son doesn't lose
What it feels to look at snowfall through a window
Dash Dec 2020
A droplet hits your cheek
More comes down through the trees
Finally, you are wet
A haiku...probably.
Dash Dec 2020
The sea, sky, and sun
A light blue glow on velvet waves
Reflections and white rays like splattered paint
The Kiyotaka Sugiyama album cover for "Golden and Best" made me think of this.
