Waffles and Pancakes
The ultimate battle to end it all
Pancakes win. Syrup time!

The sludge stops the movements of the clock
And you try to forget those seconds and replace them with
Something else that will eventually break

You hide out in a bunker and escape from what's happening outside
And accept your true character

Light blue-grey hue
A spotlight from above
I'm sitting in a miniature room, in a miniature bed as a miniature me
The walls aren't connected
Just four thin slabs of drywall floating in space
One to the left, right, back and top
In front is a door
And I sit facing it
I look from the third person, looking at myself looking at the door

Outside the door is more empty space and two elongated shadows

Sounds of a man and woman arguing
And screaming and thuds
And crying
And more thuds partnered with grunts of frustration

I'm scared to go out.
To find out.
I'm just dreaming, just dreaming
Just go back to sleep and wake to silence.

Found her voice again in a conch by the shore
It echoed and then disappeared
to where I'm not sure

Time passes for his execution but he doesn't plan his escape

He's Horrible and Disgusting
Cowardly and Arrogant
Delusional and Confident
Entitled and lacking perspective
Not really depressed not really happy
Prideful but nothing to show for it

If he died, nothing would change
Partly based on the song "Horrible and Disgusting" by Shoe.

On the podium was a man giving a eulogy.
The words travelled and dispersed,
Crawled and Ran,
Heard by everyone.
They Passed like stray sentences from a novel
And everyone was analyzing, interpreting and criticizing.
They filled in the rest of the story on their own,
Including themselves in this final chapter.
