you, who is free, chose to fly.
with beautiful wings fluttering in the sky.
Under the sunlight that's radiant,
you dance with colors so vibrant.

I just watch you from the distance.
reaching you, I believe in that chance.
And so i decided to change,
color myself and decided to fly.

"Fly up to the sky!" I cried.
No matter what, at least I tried.
This is but a rare opportunity.
I won't give up while my hands are empty.

I've reached the sky, finally.
"What a view, what beauty!"
I was enchanted by the scenery.
Those marvelous clouds mesmerized me.

It doesn't matter, that beautiful view.
For what I want to see is you.
All around, I looked for your trail.
Losing hope, i said, "Please, don't let me fail"

Then I saw a mixture of colors
on those beautiful wings of yours.
You gracefully asked me,
"Are you lost?"

That voice filled my inner being.
The joy you suddenly bring,
that smile that's slowly appearing,
as we started talking.

"Fly up to the sky!"
What joy I feel when we're together.
Gosh! you've made me feel better.
"Now, this is life!"

These moments, I will treasure.
This bond, I hope you'll assure.
But then, why should I trust
on this bond that won't really last?

You've met other butterflies filled with beauty.
Unlike me, who's just a wanna-be.
You said, "Come, let's fly, us both."
I smiled and said, "But, I'm a moth."

"Fly up to the sky!"
I've stressed my wings too much.
It won't move anymore.
I've used up my strength.

Now, with other butterflies, you fly.
"Fly up to the sky!"
As I was left to crumble and die.
Now, this is but a good bye.

Looking at the mirror,
all I can see is emptiness,
hollow stare from my eyes,
cold, frozen heart.

Where are you?
That tiny droplets from my eyes,
falling down the cheeks
with salty yet bitter taste.

Where are you?
That shaking of my shoulder
as my mouth wrinkle,
as I try to fake a smile.

I want to feel!
Save me from this shackle!
Let me be free!
Please, help me!

“Have you ever had
The passion to strive,
The perseverance to continue,
The will to go on,
To exhaust your strengths
With all your efforts
To reach that what you have always wanted,
To face forward
And narrow your view
To that single light of your future?”
“No.
For I am a person
That dreams to have a dream.”

Para saan ang pagmulat ng aking mata
kung sa paningin ko ay tapos na.
Sa bawat pagpikit, ang tanging nakikita
ay ang katapusang matagal ng tinadhana.
Para saan ang pagbangon
kung sa problema'y di na makaahon
Sa isa pang yapak na aking gagawin,
Nawa'y bigat ng aking saloobin
tuluyan ng humupa
kasabay ng aking pagkawala
sa hawak ng mundo
na sa isip ko'y gumugulo.
Sa huling ngiting huhulma sa aking labi,
maalala sana na minsan akong lumaban at ninais magwagi.

Sa pag lubog ng araw,
Nakatutok ang mga mata sa abot-tanaw.
Sa pagsilip ng mga bituin
Sa kalangitang dumidilim
At paghaplos ng malamig na hangin
Sa basang pisngi
At tuyong labi
Unti-unting nakakain ng masalimuot na nakaraan
ang matamis sanang kinabukasan.
Ngunit sa pagpahid
Ng katas ng nawalang pag-asa
Ay bagong kislap
Sa aking mga mata
Muling tatanaw,
Ngunit ngayo'y
Sa pagsikat ng araw.

I see her again, that girl.
She is sitting, her hair being a mess.
Her eyes are red from tears,
mouth wrinkled.

Rubbing her now dry eyes,
she stood up.
She fixed her hair
and wore a smile.

I decided to approach her.
Closely, closer, and closer.
She also turned and faced me.
In the same way, she walks toward me.

I reach out my hand,
and so did she.
Our hand touched each other,
that cold smooth sensation.

I stared at her intently,
and so did she.
With a smile in both our faces,
I said "Ah, it's just me."
