Tic Tac
the rain walking on the tin roof
Tic Tac
the rain making shine the leaves
Tic Tac
the rain appeasing the fire of my heart

listen carefully
the murmurs of the trees speak better than us
at least they never lie
Cesar Botetano Apr 2020
no rainbows after the rain
just puddles reflecting the sky
and immense solitude

the pearl color of your naked body
bathed by the soft light of the moon
writing a poem
Cesar Botetano Apr 2020
tiny dew drops
illuminates her beautiful face
dawn is here

moonless rainy nights
me, old summoner of dreams
mystical trip
Cesar Botetano Mar 2020
I tried and tried again
endlessly
writing and rewriting once more
finally
the manuscript began to talk to me
Cesar Botetano Mar 2020
Please, my Lord, Have mercy on me
I pray day and night to you
Please, my sweet Lord
give me a sign
of your forgiveness
Maybe a dream
or a flash of lightning across the sky
whatever will be
and I accept your will

Orellana's famous expedition in search of the mythical "El Dorado."
They sailed eight months along the Amazon River.
According to the chronicles of that time:
Thousands of Indians died because of smallpox brought by the Spanish.
The Indians covered the Spanish brig with thousands of arrows and darts in response to such ambition.
The Indians did not allow them to obtain any food;
So, they were forced to boil their belts and mix with some herbs, to alleviate their hunger.
They could never find the dreamed " El Dorado."

The shadow of a tiger
reflected on the quiet waters of the Ganges river
a recurrent dream
of an ancient warrior
