Poetry is not words to write
Or feelings we share by night.
Poetry is a heart singing
While others fight.
A poem is like the sun
It shines from your eyes
And sets in your heart.
Am I right?
Poetry seems to be
An imagination
Leading to an artistic creation.
The truth is
Each poem possesses a soul
Which is really eternal.

We live and die
But our poems
Never lie or die.
Poetry is a world.
Enlightened people
Are its dwellers.
Not all dwellers are poets
Poetry
      is
a speaking art
Poetry derives
from your heart
And targets
My heart,
  So poetry
  Is my heart.
He who has no heart
Can never understand my poems.
This poem reminds me of Lao Tzu who believes that his wisdom is easy to understand but no one can understand his wisdom.
Nature is the best school
Working against it
Makes you feel like a fool.
A virus capsized our life.
Killing dad and his wife.
Stuck at home
Having no power or tool.
Mother nature
Forgive us.
We cry our dears
Here and there
All stare
Love nature
Before our departure.
We lost control
All of us about to fall.
In halls of wisdom, where thoughts take flight,
A scholar stands, seeking truth's pure light.
Pr. Naceur Ben Mesbah, philosopher's name,
In the realm of ideas, he's gained his fame.

With mind as keen as a blade's sharp edge,
He delves into thoughts from every ledge.
Exploring the depths of thought's vast sea,
Guiding his students to ponder and be free.

Philosophy's tapestry he deftly weaves,
Asking questions profound, the mind he cleaves.
In lecture halls resonates his voice,
Provoking minds to make their choice.

With intellect like a beacon's glow,
He lights the path where thinkers go.
Through Socratic dialogue and discourse rare,
He nurtures minds with utmost care.

In pursuit of knowledge, he leads the way,
Challenging minds to explore each day.
Pr. Naceur Ben Mesbah, a philosopher bold,
Whose teachings and wisdom we firmly hold.
"What is life?" She said.
  "A sharp knife" I whispered.
Running away from his destiny
Taking a breath
Looking for an eternity
Afraid of life and its bitter faith
Carrying a heavy body.
Running to death
Yearning for a moment of security
Out of breath
Running away from his destiny
Throwing a sight
Need to know the sun and its light
The earth and its perpetual fight.
All lead to a the same site
Left is getting right
Fight becomes a human right
None of us will run away from
That gloomy night.
A scar that doesn't inspire
Will be nothing but a wild fire.
Feel your scars
Some of them are shining stars.
Sometimes
Tears roll out your heart
Hiding your scars
They envy you for that smile
A smile that no one understands
You sing and dance
You sing a song
Showing that you are strong.
You dance on a painful arena
You walk here and there
Don't want to talk
Pains have invaded your heart
Sometimes
You cry alone
Looking at the mirror
What have I done?
Nothing
You cry at night
Looking for the light
A light to heal your bleeding heart.
Poor heart!
Sometimes
You dance out of pains
That's true
How many roosters dance on the ground
After being slaughtered
Out of pain
We might get insane.
Tears from the sky
are called rain.
It was a dark night
Behind the stars
Two hearts melted into one.
Love, heat and fun.
Whisper to her with a mild bite.
Yes dear, that's right.
We rolled in and out
Around the moon light
It was a love fight
Making her scream
By saying
I crave to have a son
Now before the rise of the sun.
Today is
Yesterday's souvenirs.
Tomorrow is
Today's souvenirs.
We are nothing but souvenirs.
I wrote this  poem because I have just received an email from a student I taught 26 years ago. He attached a photo of me when I was in my early 20's.when I saw it, I couldn't cease crying. I am a souvenir and whatever I do now, I can't be the image he sent.
A heart that doesn't love you
Can never feel the beauty
Of the world
An eye  that doesn't see you
deserves blindness.
Your love drove me to madness.
Bien
They blamed me for
Loving you
They don't know that
My heart was your first prey
Our love is not a play.
The day I met you
I saw you with my heart
You were the one
I dreamt of
If you blame again
Get my heart
You will be so smart.
Love is feeling
That is all my darling.
Rain,
This silver  melody
That kisses my eyes
And my memory.
Tuned in a way
That only my heart could play
Love each  drop of  this rain
Touching my lips
Is that summer rain?
Late after midnight
Sitting
With  an imaginary quill
In hand
Stroking keys to form
What earlier today
I hadn't planned.
As I ponder,
The end state of all
In this material realm
Falling victim
To entropy
Which is the inch worm that,
With each second's movement,
Is munching the very essence
Of both, you and me.
Entropy at birth's beckoning
Is set in motion for all,
From miniscule microbe
inside our bodies
To the far - flung massive, invisible stars
That would boggle the mind,
In the end, the physical
Is swallowed whole,
Wherein the essence
Of what is, is measured
By the residue each entity
Sentient or not,
Leaves behind.
Tears are
The poets' ink
When they sink.
Tears are the painters' brush
When they cry or blush.
Tears are the language
Of those losing their language.
Every drop of tear
Expresses a joy or fear.
If you don't understand my tear
Your sympathy will worsen my fear.
Stop calling me dear.
My tears will never die
And I will never sigh.
My tears will revenge
Your fake challenge.
It was midnight
  Heavy rain outside
  A crying heart inside.
  Both of us were wet.
  Before we even met.
Behind every tear
There is a story.
Tears of joy and sadness
might lead us to madness.
No need to know why I cry
One day you cry
When and why?
The day you no longer lie.
I still remember the day
I said it
When I was kneeling
Touching your feet
I love you dear
Being away from you
Makes me fear
You are the first
And the last
You are the world
That's my only word
Tears rolling over my cheeks
Have made of me an artist
An artist who paints with his tears
Your portrait is not for sale
Cz I am your only male.
Without you I am nothing
Your presence is like wings
Making me fly so high.
You made me someone
When all people around
Saw me no one
But something.
I was born
Just to love you.
And be your lover
Away from you
Makes me feel torn.
I love you forever
Or I die
If you stop loving me
Because my eyes can't see
Only your image.
My heart has no key
But yours.
Put your hands on my heart and see.
Away from you
I can't be.
I knew love
The day I met you.
It was neither Saturday
Nor Wednesday.
It was the eighth day of the week
That day I was somehow weak.
We started to play
A romantic play.
I still remember the first kiss
That I forever miss.
It was I guess
late in the afternoon
Hiding behind a carthaginian ruin.
We melted like a candle
I was born on that very day
You call it the eighth day
I call it Loveday.
The end is the death
Of every beginning.
Not every end has
A beginning.
I hope you take it from a philosophical perspective. If not, ask Lao Tzu, there in his book Tao te ching, you might find the answer.
The hardest love
Is to love the one
Who has never loved you.
The worst heart
Is the one you tried to
Get in
But you find out
That there is no door
To knock on.
I lived a lie
Which ended up
With no bye.
My heart has no hope
But to die.
The sun is like our love
Hard to be hidden.
I see love in your eyes
My heart never lies.
With every sunshine
My world gets so fine.
Whatever we do
To hide our feelings
Our hearts are always beating.
Your heart is my prison
I see no one but you
Shall I announce the hidden reason?
The moon light
Stroke gently
The sea waves.
Both were silent
The sea waves were dancing
On the melody of the moon.
The moon sighed
Come and get closer.
The sea waves replied
We are one body
Living in a separate world.
The moon cried
Each drop of rain Sent from the sky
Makes me feel like
A lover singing a song
We don't say goodbye.
The more you read
The less you believe.
Today's reader
Is tomorrow's leader.
Free your mind
And repeat after me
I don't mind
Read and compare
No need to stare.
Free your mind
And you will find
An answer to the unanswerable
An answer to the unquestionable.
You were born to know
And not to follow.
Life is brief
Knowledge is the best belief.
The night is a station
Full of passengers
From different dreams.
The night is a destination
For he who has lost his realm.
Nights have more hearts than eyes.
Nights are blind
I am the night and do not mind.
Every night
We live a new fight.
A fight between  to be or not to be.
Till the morning appears here or there.
No one will care.
Stop telling me
Life is fair.
Today is younger than tomorrow,
Yet older than yesterday,
A fleeting moment caught in the stream
Where yesterday’s toddler
Grows into today’s swift runner,
And tomorrow’s old man
Wanders with his cane.

The world remains a place of pain,
A ceaseless cycle of becoming and fading.
Yesterday’s lecturer, once a figure of wisdom,
Now finds himself lost to the madness of today.

In this relentless march of time,
Each phase transforms and redefines,
An unending journey from youth to frailty,
Where past roles dissolve into the present’s strain.
An artist paints with his hand
While a poet writes with his heart.
An artist's brush lures your eyes
My poem revives your days.
The poet's heart is an ocean
Full of love and emotion.
I suddenly turned back
When I smelt
The scent of your perfume
My bad luck
It was a jasmin tree
Has your soul dwelled that tree?
We lost our way
But your perfume has made my day.
It was raining heavily
Your umbrella was our shelter
We looked at each other
Speechless
Drops of rain
Were like a fuel
Making me insane
We stuck to each other
Love this melody
A melody of love
Played on the lyrics of the rain
Our heart were somehow
Drumming
Our eyes were flirting
She sighed saying
We are the world
You are my lord
We were drenched by rain
head to toe
What a wonderful show.
Making us above your law.
I wake up this morning
Having  a weird feeling
I don't know how
But it is very good
I felt a strong resolution
To do everything I could.
With staunch purpose
I chase a goal
Seeing it one day in my soul.
Everything I see
Has a soul and a voice.,
Both offering me a wide choice.
Will it be dangling dainties
Or tonics to make me feel strong?
Each choice is a decision
Right or wrong
Makes you really strong.
She asked me, "What is Time?"
I replied
"My life and its woeful rhyme."
I don't trust two.
They are my eternal foe.
Time and sickness
The first changed my heart
The second is the one behind my weakness.
Time is my arch enemy
Its sickness is the worst melody.
Under the tree, closer to the sea
See your soul waving to me.
Feel your heart bumping
Out of joy dancing
We dance to be
Let the world see.
Under the tree, closer to the sea
I no longer be
You! Is that me?
Look! We melt together.
Lord! You will be alive forever.
On the sky, the stars smile  and say
Can one and one be three?
The sea waves answer without a delay
Their love is a sunny night
Away from hatred and fight
To be or not to be
That's how love should be.
To be or not to be
That's me.
Love is my God
Peace is my sword.
Love all
That's my first and last call
To be here or there
I don't care
Spread love
Embrace nature
Love is my culture.
To be or not to be
That's the way we should be.
Today is  worse than  yesterday,
But better than tomorrow.
Today is a lost day
Yesterday was a gift!
But hard to accept this shift.
What is time,
If today is not yesterday?
Look for your day
But don't make of it
A dramatic play!
No ,I don't want to say
That your day is my day .
Today is another day.
Better than yesterday.
Today is tomorrow's past
Filled with dust.
Present time is an illusion
Covered with confusion.
Time is ruthless
Days become meaningless.
Be yourself
Seize your day
Forget about what they say.
A dead past
Makes  you
die fast.
Today
Some of them hate you.
The day you leave forever
They will love you
Even those who don't know you.
Will mourn you.
Show your love now
Without asking me how.
Love them all
That is my love call.
If you don't love me soon
Try to fetch a place in the moon.
Tragedy
        Is the mother
                 Of literature.
Life is a long journey
Full of deep pains.
Hearts tied to chains.
Our heart is our secret well.
Hide and I will never tell.
Coz no one gets your tear
Or understands your fear.

I trust my heart
He is the first and  the last.
He is life and death.
My heart is my real path.
The day I pass away
He doesn't run away
He is buried
With our secrets
Trust your heart.
The sun shone brightly
On a cool summer day
The sun envied her inner light
They laid down by the bay
Just to see the majestic sight
The sun went down across the bay
And the lovers made sweet love
Till twilight.
Drifted away in the dark
Finding themselves in a deserted park.
Under the dark sky
Where no one could hear hi or bye.
Both alone,
In a very low tone.
Bodies melted together.
Feelings shouted however.
Love language is there,
So They showed no care.
All organs united.
A new body was created.
Harmony in breathing,
Melody in moving.
No word but
We are right.
Their love was the only light.
Two days
Met in a graveyard.
One was laughing
The other was crying.
What makes you laugh?
Your life was so rough.
What makes you cry?
Your life was a big lie.
Life is just one day!
You and I
Were nothing but
Two days.
Living in a weird maze.
What's another day
If your today is identical
To your yesterday?
Two lives are not enough
To tell you how much
I love you
My soul is knocking upon your door
I see your welcoming smile
Shining before my eyes
Your heart greets me
Once more.
You made me feel
We have done so many things
Yet, we did no single thing.
Your smile made my warm heart sing
As I tearfully watch your heart dancing.
Hold me once more
And squeeze me tight
So that I can know
What I always knew.
That without your love
My soul can never survive.
I saw her there,
Standing quietly
Under the soft, flickering glow
Of a streetlight.
Her skin, pale as cotton,
Contrasted sharply
With her dark, gothic attire
And hair blacker than
A raven’s wing
In the dead of night.

She was petite,
With delicate features
That hinted at a secret—
The kind a fairy
Or pixie might hold.
Though I had places to be,
Her gentle smile and curious gaze
Kept me rooted.

Courage appears
When you need it most.
In that moment,
I had to know her name.
But in a world so jaded,
How could we tell
If either of us
Wasn’t just playing
A trivial game?

As my throat tightened,
Her smile widened,
Perhaps a silent invitation—
And every part of me
Hoped it was true.

Since that night,
When Cupid’s arrow
Struck us both,
Our lives have intertwined,
Filled with light and laughter,
Along with untimely tears.
A love once doubted by many
Has grown stronger,
Thriving through the years.
Coronavirus united us
For centuries
Books and preachers
Divided us.
Each pretends to possess the truth
Which truth?
Show it today
Heal the world
All ran away
They told us
Be patient
We will go through
That's not true.
The end of the world
Believers  whispered
Shut it!
Scientists said
We are here
A vaccine is very near.
Love and spread peace.
Stop wars and hatred in the name
Of the unseen.
A scientist never urges a patient
To  hurt or ****.
How come
They trust a power that
Urges them to ****
Does he really feel?
United together
Our life will be much better.
