Devastated
years ago

You left me... ..
unintentionally

My voice
of forever
reason

The sanity
in all of
this world's
insanity

My bedrock
foundation
in a land
full of
quicksand

My hydration
when my
lips were
parched and
my throat
was dry

My very
best friend
that I could
talk about
anything with

You had
all of the
answers like
a Jeopardy
champion

Now... ..
I labor to
find all of
the answers
myself
because
I trust no one
else and... ..

there is no
replacing you
Dad

Many say
how much
that I look
like you and
sound like you
but,

I can't be you
because,
there is only
one you

David misses
you... ..

Ciao ciao for now
until our
saddened eyes
do meet again,
until we both
regain our
infectious
smiles... ..

I
Will
Endure

The
strawberry
moon
reminded me
of your
essence,
your hair.

Dipped
into the
chocolate
night sky
where
love
at one time,
dared.

Bright red
sweetness
with a
juicier texture
after
midnight.

The wolves?

For you,
they just
found
themselves
a fight
in the
strawberry
moonlight.

Father's day

Yea well,
mine
is not
here

Just
anger
and fear

Engulfing
my own
children

A Father's Day
even they
can not
mend... ..

nor,
do we
pretend

Since his
death,
celebrations
I do not
do well

Celebrations
don't
come easy
when
dwelling in
life's
prison cell

I feel
for my
6 adult
children,
but they
understand

My Dad
was
my hero
and
without him,
I am not
the same
man

Rich in
His mercy
that He
has
abundantly
givin'

Scars... ..?

Scars are
simply
a part
of
livin'

Your life
may be
a
broken
glass

You may
be
wounded
but can be
mended
fast

He's not
done
with
you yet

He doesn't
have you
walking
into
today's
sunset

You may
stumble in
today's
regret

But... ..

don't
let it
steal
tomorrow's
breath

I don't
want to
die but,
I
want to
die.

Another
fighter,
another
long
battle lost
to cancer
by a soul
full of
fire.

My dear friend
Dino,
this life
may end
in death,
but death
is really
life's
first breath.

It's
now you
breathe,
free of
worry and
at last,
free of
pain.

Now you
can rest easy
and enjoy
in Heaven's
paradise,
and
with Jesus
forever
reign.

Just lost another dear friend.
Our industry of concrete *****.
Our lungs can only take so much of what we breathe in everyday on commercial jobsites.
40 years in the industry for Dino, 36 years for me.

And yes, we have one size fits all concrete shoes. ;)
What a
beautiful world this
would be
if
people had
hearts
like dogs

woof.
