Toast
Tony Anderson Sep 2020
To the best of times
To the worst of times
Our friendship has lasted though it all

In joys we celebrated together
In sadness we shed tears together
In our weak times
We carried each other

A toast
A toast my friend
To the long life we have shared

Kids graduations
Each others weddings
Birthdays
Halidays
back yard BBQs
Backyard football games
We’ve been friends through it all

A toast
A toast my friend

To the long life we have shared

Go wrong
Tony Anderson Sep 2020
Where did we go wrong
I thought we would last foever

We started out as childhood friends
That is how our love began
Growing stronger as the years went by

Then one day we said "I do"
Thus starting our wedded bliss.
Two kids
House
Great jobs
All seamed perfect
All seemed right

Until the day you said goodbye
You took the kids
Leaving me alone.

Now I drown myself in tears
Wishing you were still here

Slash and Cut
Tony Anderson Sep 2020
A slash here
A cut there
Letting the blood flow
Pouring out the pain
I have felt for so long

Another slash
Another cut
More blood to wash away bad memories
Of abuse
Hatred
Teasing
Laughing
All these things stuck inside my head
Going round and round Like a merry-go-round inside me
Tears fall Blood flows

Another slash
Another cut
I am starting to hate myself
No one likes me
They all treat me like some sort of joke
They poke their fun
They have their laugh
While I am dying inside
While drop by drop
Until I breath my last

Another slash
Another cut
The world starts to fade
No one comes to my aid
I fall to the ground
I black out

I Cry
Tony Anderson Sep 2020
I cry for my sins
I cry for my mistakes
But
I don’t just cry for myself

I cry for the insanity of the world
I cry for senseless killing death and decay
The child hungry and scared
Living in the streets with no where to go

I cry for the abused
Those who get beat up
Beaten into a ****** lump
By those who were supposed to love them
By total strangers just looking for a good time

I cry for the corruption of others
Police
Military
And others
Who find it easier to do what is wrong
Just to make a quick buck

I cry for polititions
Who continually lie to the American public
Who constantly look out for their own interests
Instead of listening to the American people

I cry for our school children
Who time and time again can not get the education they need
To help them prepare for the future
To help lead successful lives

I cry for
Crime
Gangs
Turf wars
Making the inner cities unsafe
Making  America unsafe

I cry for our military
And for lose who gave thier all
And sacrificed everything
So freedom could remain

I cry for those who can not cry themselves
I cry for those without a voice

So thier needs may be heard

Can We Talk
Tony Anderson Sep 2020
Can we talk
I mean really talk
If your phone rings
Will you ignore it
Or
Will I be put on hold while you answer it

Can we talk
If the phone rings
Will you ignore it
Or
Must I say everything in a hurry
To try and get it all in

Do I even matter
Or do I have to slit my wrist
Letting my blood flow like a mighty river
Will you listen
Will you listen then

I know I don’t talk much
But
Every so often
I have things I need to discuss

I have fears
I hurt
I need to know someone is there

Can I lay down my life’s problems
Can I open up
And share what is on my mind

Can we talk
Or
Am I just wasting my breathe

Tony Anderson Sep 2020
They may think I'm crazy
But I don't care
I'm one of a kind
I am who I am
So some people stare

They can't handle
That I'm true to myself
I do not conform
To what the world says is the norm

I stand out
I stretch my limits
I walk my own path

Most people think I am strange
They just laugh

Let them
Doesn't bother me
I'm to real
Blazing trails they fear to tread

Them and their peer pressure
Who needs it
Gives me a headache
Just thinking about it

I may walk alone
but I truly am not alone
I have friends
Friends how understand

I am who I am
I got to be me

Darkness fills my sight
Blindness
Like the darkest night

Waiting to feast
Waiting to devour

Emotions like this is a beast
Waiting for the ****

And fall upon the bed
In madness

In pure honest animalistic joy

Like two cobras attacking each other
We strike again, and again, and again
We strike with passion

Jordan
Tony Anderson Sep 2020
Her name was Jordan
Beautiful in
Mind
Body
And soul

She was strong
Both in body
And in heart

She used her heart
To reach out to those around her
Bring comfort when needed
Helping wherever she could

So when the war hit
It was not surprising that she was in a medic outfit
Helping wounded soldiers heal

After the war
Her wounds could not heal
Mentally
Emotionally
She started a downhill slide

She stopped taking care of herself like she should
She just stopped caring

Even though she had left the war many years behind
The war never truly left her
Haunted by the images of that time
Haunted by the cries of the ones she could not save

Yes, it had been many years
But it all seemed like it was happening that very moment

She tried therapy
She tried talking to others who dealt with the same poblem

Sadly however she finally just drifted away
Leaving it all behind
Going from town to town
Never staying to long

She has become a homeless drifter
All in an effort to deal with the pain
All in an effort to deal with her past
