Ask ourselves this we must; are we really civilized ?

The harm we are causing to Nature;
have we this ever realized ?

Pollute we, almost all of Mother Nature's valuable elements;

Ignoring Her wellness n brutally hurting Her sentiments.

Her flora, fauna, rivers, Seas we trouble n torture.

Her mountains we trample upon; in short we destroy Nature.

Even now, do you think we are truly civilized; do you agree with me ?

આ હા હા, આવી છે વસંત, લાવી છે સાથે, ફૂલોથી લદાયલા ઝાડપાન

માનો, મુરઝાઈ ગયેલી વડ વેલીઓ માં પુરાઈ ગયો હોય નવો પ્રાણ.

સૂર્ય પ્રકાશમાન છે, અને નીલ ગગન ચમકે છે; સ્વચ્છ છે આસમાન

હવામાં ખુશનુમા ફેલાઈ છે, ફૂલોની મહેક છે, પંખીઓ ની ચહેકમાં છે ગીત-ગાન

કળી ફૂલ બનવા તત્પર છે, કમળ માં આવશે ચાંદના ખીલવા સાથે જ જાન

ચાંદના મોહમાં, તત્પર છે ચકોર ખુશી ખુશી ન્યોછાવર કરવા પોતાના પ્રાણ.

વસંત લાવે દિલોમાં ખુશાલી ની હિલોલ; ચાલો કરીયે એનું સ્વાગત, સન્માન.

कॅरोना ने छीन लिया है, हर किसीका सुख चैन; हार ही है, कहीभी दिखती नही है जीत

चारों ओर है भयंकर बीमारी और मोत फड़फड़ाती है हर दिये की जीवन ज्योत

हर मानव, डर के जी रहा है; न जाने कब आये उसको या उसके अपनोको मोत

डॉक्टर, नर्स, वार्ड बॉय की जान को रहता है सतत मोत का खतरा, फैली है एक दहशत

न जाने कब आ जाये मोत का फरिश्ता, लगाने उन्हें गले; यह मौतके खेलमे, होती है चित्त या पट

ऐ मालिक मेरे, याचना करू मैं तुझसे, यह दुनियां है तेरी, अब तू ही उसे बचा सकता है

माफ कर दे तेरे इस इंसांको, घमंड उसका चकना चूर हो गया है; अब देख, वो बिलखता है ।

આં ભયાનક  એકલતા; આટલી ભીડમાં પણ, કરે છે મને બહુ બેચેન

આં તે કેવી વિચિત્ર રીત; જે હોય તે, પણ એટલું કહું, આં છે તારીજ આપેલી દેન

વિચારું છું, આં તે કેવી રાત આવી, કે જેની કોઈપણ સવાર પડેજ નહીં

હોઠ સ્મિત કરવાનો જ્યારે ખોટો પ્રયત્ન કરે છે, ત્યારે ત્યારે અચૂક, અશ્રુધારાજ છે વહી

જ્યારે જ્યારે, જેટલી વાર, કોશિશ કરું છું, હું કોઈને પણ મારું દુઃખ કહેવાની;

ત્યારે ત્યારે લોકોને કંટાળો આવે છે, એ દુઃખભરી દાસ્તાન સાંભળવાની

બધાં બસ એક સરખું કહે છે, "શીખી જા, હર હાલમાં ખુશ રહેવાનું છે તારે"

પણ કોઈ સમજવાજ માંગતું નથી, કે આ, કેટલું  અશક્ય છે, માટે મારે

શું કહું, કે કશું કહુંજ નહીં, એની છે સમસ્યા, છે આં એક મોટી ઉલઝન,

ન બોલતાં પણ આંખો બયાન કરે છે દર્દ મારુ; અને નિરાશ રહે છે મન

આટલી ભીડમાં, જે વ્યાકુળતા, જે એકલતા લાગે છે, તે મને તડપાવે છે

શું કરું, આં એકલતા, પ્રયત્ન કરવા છતાં, દિલમાં ઉદાસી અને આંખોમાં અશ્રુ લાવે છે.

O Ahura,
Grant me please, fingers really, effectively green.
So that grow I can, beautiful gardens, such ones, I have never seen;
And also to grow cherry-blossoms, tulips, roses, lavenders, orchids, I am keen.

If a seed I throw, may it grow into a tree lush green.

To stay there,  with all my heart, I sincerely did try.

From up there,  into matters of importance, I tried to pry.

With pride and ego, afloat stayed I, in the vast sky.

To float around, to bloat around, definitely , decided I.

But God, a plan had otherwise.

now my "Karma", made me cry.

A young, immature, emotional,  romantic fool she was

Didn't think she of the dire consequences, a spontaneous action, of course;

Did not realise she, that soon there would be a havoc, a heavy penalty with many a clause

Hence, of lots of trouble, she would, in the future,  be the cause

Manijeh's  immaturity, Bejan's overconfidence n attraction, did trouble cause

Love is spontaneous; but along with it come sacrifices, they didn't think, didn't pause.

Lessons many learn we have to, n before any actions, we definitely need to consider social laws

સ્વપ્નો કરે છે સંકેત

મન પાછું બહુ વિચલિત છે, જોજે ઓ ખુદા, અજુગતું કાંઈક ન થાય

સ્વપ્ન હતું ડરાવનું, કીધી છે મને બેબાખલી, બેચેન; જોજે કાંઈ બૂરું નહીં થાય

ઉઠી તેવીજ બંદગી કરી તને, કર જોડી; ઓ દાદાર, મારી શ્રદ્ધા પર આં વહેમ હાવી ન થાય.

સ્વપ્નમાં જોયું મારી લાલ બંગડી નથી તો તરત નજર ગયી બીજા હાથ પર

ત્યાં પણ એ ન જોતા, વિચલિત થયું મન મારું, મનમાં પેઠો એક અજ્ઞાત ડર, અસર થઈ મન પર

વિનંતી કરી ખરાં મનથી, શ્રદ્ધા જીતે, વહેમ હારે, આફત ન આવે કોઈબી મારા વર પર.

પણ થોડા દિવસોમાંજ તબિયત એની લથડી, પડ્યો મને ધ્રાસકો, માથી અસર થઈ એની ઉપર

હોસ્પિટલમાં ડોક્ટરે કહ્યું, છે એ ક્રિટિકલ, આં સાંભળી ચિત્ત મારું, થયું સાવ વિચલિત

કહી ન હતી આં સ્વપ્નવાલી હકીકત ઘરમાં કોઈને કે રખેને થાય મારી જેમ બધાં વિચલિત

હવે અશાંત મનમાં ન દબાવી શકતાં કહેવું પડ્યું બધાને ઘરમાં; ત્યારે બધાં થયાં વિચલિત

બહુ બંદગી કરી દુઆઓ માંગી બધાંએ, પણ લાગી ન એ કારગત,"પ્લીઝ જોજે ખુદા મારા"

મનમાં પેસી ગયેલો વહેમ હવે થવા લાગ્યો મુજપર હાવી, અસર થઈ મનમસ્તીશક પર મારા

હમબંદગીઓ થઇ, નિજી તો હતીજ જારી, પણ અસર ન પડી કાંઈ એની, વર પર મારા

ઓ ખુદા, સ્વપ્ન આપતો નહીં કોઈને આવાં બિહામણા, દહેશત હોય છે એવા સ્વપ્નોની તન-મન પર ભારી

લાગવા માંડ્યું હવે મને, આવવાની છે આફત કોઈ ભીષણ, બહુ જ ગંભીર અને ભારી

આખરે હું હારી, સધાવીયો એ દાદાર ની દાદઘામાં, સરોશની પનાહમાં, જીતી ગઈ બીમારી, એ ભારી.

TO HELP OR NOT TO

In our own small way, let us a difference make.
A hungry man's life perhaps, may be at stake.
Bread we can share some, it needn't be a cake.


Scared many times I am to help, because many beggars there are fake.
To get cheated n encourage wrong,  my heart would ache.
Because many lazy ones beg and alms conveniently take.

Help me O Lord, to lessen another's heart ache.
Help let me another, in Your name, for Your sake.
Wisdom grant me to differentiate between a deserving n a fake.

To encourage begging, would be a sin big; we must put on a brake.
Children innocent, they kidnap n maim, to get their share of cake.
Have we a right to jeopardize an innocent child's life; we cannot put it at stake.

Help we can by educating street children n this begging chain break.
Help the starving farmers; to them let us technology take; teaching them to build a lake.
With the young n old, weak n weary share; let us our things for them take.

APPEAL

Lord,  these humans,  with their modernization almost my fate did seal;

That's why to You,  I had to sincerely pray and desperately appeal.

Now fate theirs is threatened, and to You they nervously appeal;

Worried they are about their lives; they have themselves sealed.

Flora and fauna today on rejuvenating, with happiness and laughter, peal.

I am now rejuvenating, thank  You Lord, for listening to my appeal

Sorry for them I do feel; but their indiscriminate actions have their fate sealed.

Lord, as You are helping me, them forgive n help them also to heal.

महफ़िल भरी थी, फिर भी भीड़ में, एक दिल था अकेला ।

ऐसा भी नहीं है की खूबसूरत नहीं था मेला ।

थी वहां चेहल पहल, समा था बहुत ही रंगीला ।

संगीत था, थी खुशबू, आलम था अलबेला ।

यह दिल करता नहीं फरियाद, पर दुःख अपनोसे ही उसे है मिला;

गम हैं इस बात का की अपनो ने ही, अपना न समझा; इस लिए हो गया वो अकेला ।

केहनेको तो, अपने थे सभी वहां;  ऐसे तो था सब अपनो का ही यह मेला ।

फिर भी न जाने क्यों, अपनो के बीच, था वो बेचारा दिल, बिलकुल अकेला ।

They are truly our life, our warm Sunlight.

Children we must have  to help ourselves n our clan.

Every Parsi couple should at least three plan.

Tenderly, lovingly bring them up we must

Children are for this clan, core n crust.

Hold my hand n me lead to a direction that is morally right.

The  body turn will  cold; first feet, hands n face, then my nose.

May my eyes weak, see you before they forever close.

In peace, in bliss, may the ravaan rise; as from the  body to separate it tries.

Liberated will the " Ravaan" be, as under the wings of  Sarosh Yazad it flies.

THIS WORLD

Wouldn't this world be a beautiful place; just contemplte !

If sow we would, seeds of fruits, that we daily ate.

Imagine oranges, Chikoos, mangoes hanging from trees, along the road.

Banana plantations, gauva, custard-apple trees on every boluward.

The colder places would have apple,  apricot, peach, cherry avenues.

This way, our villages n towns would be loaded with fruits, flowers n veggies.

Every coast, coconut groves, jackfruits would have all around.

Deserts filled with date palms would, if Arabs, date seeds drop could.

I love to imagine a world like this, lush green and so rich yet serene.

Be it man, beast, bird all happily in peace, coexist would.

Thought this fills me with pleasure, which I just cannot measure.

Lord, bless this beautiful Earth, so that a paradise it becomes.

With vegetation , now oxygen rich air,  will automatically come.

Disappearing just like a bubble, as if you were made of foam.

It is 15 long years since, yet seems as if it's just days few.

Time flies, they say, it heals too but your absence,  I still rue.

Oh my sweet heart Jer, my Mum, I simply can't forget you at any rate.

For others you were my  Masi Sasu; but for me my darling,  you were my soul mate.

Wherever thou art in  Heaven, progress well n happy may you there stay.

Bless me always from there, n when it's my turn, come to fetch me on that day.

Juicy it feels to do so, when the person is out of sight.

"Saal Mubarak" to You, o' Vakshure-e-Vakshuran;

From our entire "Kom" today, accept our "pranaam"

But  O' Zarathushtra, I cannot help worrying about our "anjaam".

Forgotten we have our duty real - our actual "karam".

Commercial progress today has become our false "shaan"

And because of this turn disastrous; I am  "heraan".

Bless us  O' pyara Paigambar; grant us faith as  "inaam"

Inspire us to  understand and follow Your  "paigaam"

Reduced has our faith n bothered we aren't about the "anjaam"

ROOTS
Roots, so very important are, to grow a luxuriant tree

from these shackles, a tree does not ever try to itself free.

The trunk however strong, does not survive, if it's roots are rotten;
                                    
same truth holds for our roots; we will perish, if they are forgotten
                                              
Today “multi-culture” is in fashion, hence to our roots, properly we tend not.

Just to marry out of the fold, many  wars are often  fought.

When in a “bhel-puri” situation, a child lives n grows

religious values different, often confuse him; that's  why, them, out he  throws.
                                              
Weak grow his roots, sadly, from the very beginning of life !

As he grows up, alongside grow his confusion and he lives in strife.

Strengthen our ROOTS we must; passing it on to generation next.
                                                    
Only if we know the Avesta, can we strengthen our children's future,  with this text.

MOVE

This Christmas, let us move from me to us

Move to protect our environment, by not cutting Christmas trees.

Move to feeding Turkeys not eating them away.

Move to buy little gifts for the poor street children, when we buy for the family.

Move to get back our old parents home from infirmaries or old age homes.

Move to rebuild relationships with old friends and relatives whom we have ignored.

Move to plant at least ten trees to save ourselves n our children. To increase oxygen levels.

Move to save sweet water by reusing it in many ways. E.G. From washing machines to flush tanks.

Move to make things better, brighter and our Earth a better place.

A bamboo shoot I was, towering, upright n straight.

Now a creeper I have become, pitiful is my state !

Support I need to even sit up, stand or walk.

Bones in old age brittle become, like chalk.

Brisk was my walk; stumble n fumble I today.

Orifices weak become, know we all; not much to say !

A face radiant with a luring smile, now many wrinkles has

That slim lithe body is now filled with water n gas.

We drastically change; time and  age spare none.

If climb I do two storeys; a marathon I have won.

Sad it is, from a lush green bamboo awesome;

to a withering creeper, seeking support, become.

May our beloved Tiranga, our Indian National flag, always, for ever fly very very high;

Higher than the great Himalayan heights, in independent India's, wide open sky

Accept my salute, my respect, as you, our revered Tiranga, rise into an azure blue sky, to fly.

Our soldiers with their blood protect you at the cost of their life; no one can you, ever buy

A soldier's brave parents, wife, siblings, children soberly accept n don't even openly cry;

When our brave hearts sacrifice themselves; when for Bharat Mata, our shaheeds die.

Wrapped they come stately in this Tiranga grand, as they quietly in their coffins lie

We owe a lot to this Tiranga; on this Republic Day let's pray forever the Tiranga flies high

His lecture at Chicago, changed the way foreigners thought about our Country; a sense of pride, in us he instilled in heaps

In a short span of 39 years, imparted he so much knowledge, to narrate it is a task impossible; but for this loss India weeps.

Wings or Cage

What will you give your girl, your daughter, sister, wife ; wings or cage?

Overcome we will have to that deadly, that centuries old airtight image

Cut off barriers we will have to, those that will come in our way, at every stage

Surely from MCPs, from the orthodox there will be a strong outrage

Think of it, we have conquered sati, from a child-widow's torture, we have come far

Female infanticide overcome we can, if educated n independent mothers are

Education is a must for every girl of every strata; there shouldn't be any bar

women are as talented n clever as men, they can, if motivated, become a shining star

SEPTUAGENARIAN

Seems just the other day,  I was seven, hopping, skipping, jumping; it was so exciting!

Fervently doing I was, my kasti, soon after my Navjot, my Avesta prayers religiously reciting

Also, remember I,  climbing trees, and without washing fruits, directly into them, biting

When and how the burdens of a mundane life gradually took over me, actually remember I do not;

In duties and responsibilities, one slowly gets entangled, like a spider in his own web is caught!

Teenage to youth, adulthood, parenthood,   then grandparents, n now of course what age has brought on

I have just turned into a septuagenaian; quickly changed, have things, as time slipped off, years have gone ;

It was a beautiful dawn,  bright n shining; but, I now see dusk, the shadows, night slowly but certainly coming on.

Lord kind,  let me grow old gracefully,  accepting the change that comes gradually

Help me  bear the oncoming aches and pains; and the body organs slowing down eventually

To almost any and every septuagenaian, this is bound to happen. Come it is going to,  perpetually.

Bharat is a wonderful country, a sacred land.

Us Parsis it supported , nurtured n cared.

Why in this rough way, do they today interact ?

Request I our honourable PM to please intervene.
Why is the MMRCL creating a scene ?

Please save our religious places all.
