Sunrise
playing
peek a boo
with pelican
shaped
storm
clouds
soaring.

open shutter
in our bedroom
window
sounds like a
symphony
with the rain
playing
through it.

covers still warm
from angel
passions
flung.

the rest
of the world
cursing
another
thursday
morning.

me celebrating
another breath
of my 16 years
with you.

Once
I tried
to build
fragile,

tender
crossed
bridges
there
to your
eyes.

I slipped
and fell.

and now
if I
could be
anywhere,


lying
there
in the
shape
of your
heart.

is where
I would
be.

skipping
off to
you.

our sunday
morning
best

tracked
across
our bedroom
floor,

unbuttoned
unashamed,

calico cat
passioned
smiles

running
true and
hungry,
across
our face.

under cool
persian silk
blankets
on our
bed.

we would
be every
where.

instead of
buried
here
in this

cross-eyed
point of
view.

sometimes
I feel
so stupid
just standing
round.

when just
yesterday.

your moment

passed
me by...

Carry me
like wind
over the
water,

laugh with
me like
a child
in it's
mother's
arms,

and sing
with me
like
a choir
at  sunday
worship,

where
we can
lift our
spirits
up to
God in
unison
to the
sky...

and then
all that
we ask
of each other
will be
gratefully
given
in lover's
grace.

unconditionally
from our
hearts,
body
and souls...

and you
will finally
find
your place
of rest,
and yearning,

and your
roots will be

nurtured
to reach
the sun.

and full
will
I drink
of you,
and you
of I.

and drunk
will we
dance
in each other's
eyes,,

to never
live our
lives
the same
again,

to come
to the rarest
of places
and emotional
ties,

where
forever
my love

where go
you
forever

go I.

And my
heart
and thoughts
fall all
around
you
like
rain falling
from heaven
upon a
flower,

and in
the moments
that you
are away
from
me I am
not myself,

or someone else.

I am
just
lost and
misplaced
in the
moment,

that does not
include
you and
your angel
smile,

and because
of this,

my first
prayer
every
morning
is that
I could
again
awake
and find
you
by my
side,

where
my heart
knows
best,

and my
soul touches
your
soul and
everything
around
you,

for  without
that moment

my life
would
be just
pieces
of hope
and love
torn
apart and
scattered
without
meaning
upon the
floor.

and my
life would
be such
an incomplete
offering
to God
and love,

in that
moment
when
I am
without
you,

and the
universe

simply
ceases

breathe,

in the
quiet of
this
morning

as I lie
in silence
in your
beauty

your husband

by your
side.

to be
with you,

means
the light
of my
eyes
will never
leave,

for to be
without you,

surely
my eyes
would grow
old
dim,

and to love
you as
I do ,

down and
through
the marrow
of my
bones,

brings me
a completeness
I have
never
known.

it is the
order
of stars
and sky
that blanket
this night
that I
hold you,

it is
the certainty
of husband
and wife
that I
love  you.

the whispers
of my
soul
tells
me it
is so,

that in
this time
under
this open
sky

our
destinys
collide
to become
only one.

and God
smiles
upon us

as only
he can.

when all
is well
and done,

and we
make
our final
journey
to him

together
unafraid,

children
in his

eyes..

you see
the light
and dark
within me,

you endure
my life's
changing
seasons
without
question
or hesitation.

and in
your eyes
I feel
your unending
trust,

and in
my eyes
you feel
that trust
returned.

and in
your heart
I love
with
purpose,

and by
the letter
God's
eternal
plan.

we are
lives
in the
balance

you
and I,

and with
each
breath
that we
take

we become

so much
more
than we were
before.

and for us
my love

forever

is but another

moment

in our
lives.

I am blessed
to sleep in
the covenant
of your smile.

the nook
of your arms,
the shape
of your heart.

and I
have never
known
such a wonder.

this place with
you
I call home.

sunsets set
only for
the two
of us.

sunrises
rise only
for our eyes.

and love
is what we
define,

with
each kiss.
with each
new embrace.

and to the
three little
smiles
that share
our bed.

God knows.

we create
miracles.
