Once
I tried
to build
fragile,

tender
crossed
bridges
there
to your
eyes.

I slipped
and fell.

and now
if I
could be
anywhere,

lying
there
in the
shape
of your
heart.

is where
I would
be.

skipping
off to
you.

our sunday
morning
best

tracked
across
our bedroom
floor,

unbuttoned
unashamed,

calico cat
passioned
smiles

running
true and
hungry,
across
our face.

under cool
persian silk
blankets
on our
bed.

we would
be every
where.

instead of
buried
here
in this

cross-eyed
point of
view.

sometimes
I feel
so stupid
just standing
round.

when just
yesterday.

your moment

passed
me by...
