i looked at my father
so thin and so drawn
but he smiled with laughter
eyes like the dawn

but the dawn never came
for those smiling eyes
as G-d came to claim
his soul for the skies

we seldom appreciate
what we have or we own
until it's too late
and we're left all alone

red, the colour of crimson blood
blue, the carrying veins,
green, as colour of unripe spud
the bile of human remains

above all lies the crystal-clear
elixir o' emotions swirled,
the pearl-like diamond of heartfelt tear
that's bigger than this world

soar sweet soul
as never before
let go of sorrow
of time and morrow

soar sweet spirit
soar higher still
and stay your visit
on heaven's hill

soar divine one
you've hardly begun
you are G-d's son
G-d's only one
