As I stood here in shadowed darkness, the dreary sky
filled with damaging screams and ****** verbs spit-stained
and slain, the towering trees growling in heavy languages,
trying to understand the rhythm of the landscape, my soul
was slowly becoming invisible.  My days as a slave was
dragging me down and leaving me backspaced metaphors
across my soiled skin, craggy similes sizzling on my beaten
*******, glazed diction drifting on my slumped shoulders.
I was tired of listening to my master yell at me like I was
a filthy ****** diminishing beyond brokenness, his charred
hands always grabbing me by the wrists, forcing me
into submission, whipping my blazed back if I didn’t obey
his commands – ripped, bladed flesh smoked and floating
in a hall of hollow chambers, punctuated syllables, suffocating
adjectives sinking on the surface of my dry tongue as I stared
around the grassland, my mind watching How the endless fields
my fellow slaves and I tiled, stretched bodies buried in sweat
and hard cracking symmetry.  And as we worked throughout
the day, our restless limbs lingering in space, dazed, caged,
slated, breaking into bitter bridges beyond slit stiches, our worlds
were falling apart.  How could we go on living like this?
the harsh depictions of death so close to our existence,
the ****** name-callings crawling in our throats
like slimy maggots, slashed angles and triangles,
mangled and wrangled, fainted conjunctions
dying in despair, our fallen kingdom lost
in thunderous torpedoes.

I stood there in a space of empty silence scratching
my flesh, clutching my throat, regurgitating thick,
slimy strips of smashed barbecue chicken,
mashed potatoes, and rotten soda pop, as I stared
at the drably glass mirror at a disturbing
reflection that had no significance, the rough
exterior surface of my stretched skin a fire blazing
wall of flooded cracks, craggy eyes, that seemed to be
sinking into endless shadows, the watery depiction
in its imperfection triggering terrifying hallucinations
in the midnight hours, bushy eyebrows in a wave
of crookedness, every layer crumbling beneath the sunken
stars, inglorious lips falling into a world of torturous existences,
a dark solemnness labyrinth filled with screaming smiles
haunting me repeatedly, lumpy chests declining each
diminishing second, disembodied arms and ankles
vanishing deep into a freezing ice-cold swamp, a shuddering
sensation vibrating my unappealing frame, a shriveled landscape
reflecting toxic acid stinging my soul in the hellish night, inflicting
a raw and burning flame upon my forgotten being, as the crying skies gazed high in the horizon at my fallen kingdom.

I wonder if he knew that I was watching him,
the way he strolled around the room in his stylish
clothes, the swag in his stance when he was surrounding
me, his silly smile that cracked me up all the time, the tinges
of his skin tone.  

I’m lost at the mere sight of his flawless frame,
how his dreads hung below his head, the way his bulging muscles
escaped out onto the exterior surface of my skin, the dexterity and
complexity he possessed within.

There was a synchronized pattern sifting in the air around me pointing the way towards inner drums rumbling in his heart, as I sunk deeper into his world.  I could hear the musical symphonies blazing the nighttime extravagance, my eyes mesmerized and shimmering, glowing like oil slicked portraits.

I leaned back in my chair and stared at the orchestration of his jaw and lips, how it was crafted to perfection, how its detailed depiction led up to the arch of his nose and chiseled cheeks, the way his dark brown eyes were perfectly positioned to excellence.  

I continued to observe the flex of his biceps and triceps, how they seemed to create various worlds of imagination, how if I could touch them, they would spark a new life deep into the interior of my soul.  His strong knees were on the tip of my tongue, the striking shape of his head was caressing on my chest, the smoothness of his back spine was hypnotizing my mind.  

The more I studied his frame, the further I saw how distant we were from each other, how his immeasurable features were far out of my reach, how his inner soul began to pull away from mine with heavy repulsion, how I tried to cling to his surface, but everything was rapidly fading away into closed doors.

truth within its kingdom, the river of
wisdom and pure diction, river of
seamless nouns and pronouns, my eyes
lost in the magnificent mountain of
astounding hues.

I want to drift inside the moon and let
it’s multiplying chemistry electrify my
mind and spark my heart.  I’m in love
with the invention of time, the glittering
light shining in the eastern breeze,
surrounding me, taking me towards infinity.

The moon is my life, everything enveloping
my pain and turning it into a bright sensation
of exuberance and joy.  I like the way my
skin feels in the night, how it’s soft touch
swims in endless seas, how the moon glistens
upon my flesh, bathing in my melanin beauty,
welcoming its existence within my mansion.

Who would have ever thought
I’d fall for you
wanting to hold your body
embrace your masterpiece
feel your peaceful rhythm
revolve around me
mesmerized by your sexiness
your seductive symphony
your golden-brown brilliance

I am falling in love with the galaxies
and above.  The world is my majesty,
a dancing transformation of shimmering
dimensions.  I’m everything and a ball of
sparkling passion.  The music knows my
soul and takes me into thrilling mazes. It’s
my streaming rhyme of glorious times.

mazes opening serenely in the midnight,
a beautiful white swan shimmering
in a pond, the key to my engine

of magnificent poetry seeping
inside my vessel as every part
