How do you like the weather,
Mary Anne, good friend of mine?
In Missouri's bitter cold,
I bet your heart still does shine.

Intense heat does it give out,
It's too cold for that to be;
That's for stars in the heavens,
Your heart gives warmth, I can see.

Your heart is one warm enough,
To keep icicles away;
So it is never icy,
Bringing bright light in the day.

Your gold smiles , Mary Anne,
From your heart come there in flakes;
They are ones of high grade ore,
Collecting them brings high stakes.

Keep warm on bitter cold days,
At least try the best you can;
If it's at all possible,
Try to get warm, Mary Anne.
When the weather, is frigid,
God, help us in times like these;
Then send a warm front our way,
Painful is a bitter freeze.

To people without a home,
Freezing weather is real cruel;
Help them find a place to go,
Where it's heated with fuel.

Being thankful is real hard,
Frigid weather we can't stand;
You didn't layer us with fur,
God, a warm front To us hand.

God, send a warm front our way,
This request to you we pray.

Gentle Mother, Peaceful Dove,
Peaceful,  help me that I'll be.
In my life  loving kindness,
Help me, Mother soon to see.

Show me Mother how to find,
Life's joys in its dismal days.
Show me Mother how to love,
And give to God his due praise.

Help me to love my neighbors,
The way that God wants me to;
When I find life a burden.
Then to God help me be true,

Of you I think highly of,
Gentle Mother, Peaceful Dove.
