we met at ikea and return
every year-we lie on the same bed
and hold hands..

some ave trange ideas
in ikea
dissapearence and ******..

they came 2000 miles to
be here but they were not welcome
a problem-what do they want..

but now the crops will rot and
the hospitals closing and other stuff
of which i am ignorant..

what do they want though-well
they want a home and security
to be treated like a human being
same as you and me..

some will walk 2000 miles
to stand in your way
and say,what..?

should i die in ikea
gods of sensible furniture
take my soul there-
via cardboard and turn-key

to heaven of instruction, see
the  quiddity..
holder of temper, pray
an eternity of grey..

if i never go to ikea
then i will die happier..

i spoke with some people
i once knew
it was good to do..

we did nt speak then
and had not much to say
but it was nice to hear them..

surprised we had survived..
there was some fear too
what the future will hold..
