Why marvel at materialism
It only lasts a while,
Why marvel at the apparent,
Apparent comes and goes
Out of style.

Why be awed by what's seen
It's only something temporal,
Why be wooed by physical strings
What's unseen has more credentials.

Why eyeball the papers only in writing,
Why not see the things more clearly with an
Insight sometimes frightening. Why only acknowledge
The things that you perceive, perception is a myth
When the door knocks reality.

Ripened wine
Tommy Jackson May 2016
Words can be silenced
Only for a lifetime
But my words will live on,
And my ghost won't be gone
Until night til the dawn,
My poetry will spill
Like ripened wine.
I'm everlasting
To everlasting.
My body may be passing
But my eternity is forever,
Like a perennial rosebud
My locution hangs with the
Good that's to come,
And hushed I shall not be.

A sound of 17,000 ghosts
Tommy Jackson May 2016
In vicksburg national burial place of the dead

A silence cradles the land
Voices of the cemetery
Loudly utter, words
Stroking butter

The sound is not
Bland.

The union sleep
Still awake in their beds
The rain never falls
The rain is just as dead

The civil war hasn't ended
Cry the tears of seventeen thousand ghosts
These souls are remembered
By the vows that they took

Sleeplessly haunting
The visitors to their arrival

The dead more than living
Are awake to the grassy place so vital

The war still goes on
Though to us it has ended
These men are still seen in their
Clothing unattended

Their plans ended shortly

Their plans unamended

This place awakes the voices
Of the wars recommended

Cookie robber
Tommy Jackson May 2016
Zipped through the laser in her sleep
I tip toed, she didint know, like a girl
Fast she was so sweet. no peep, no not
Scurry. At dark Eve I couldn't see the
Milk and cookies I was for;in a hurry.
I didint worry, just made my getaway
When it was her cookies, I chowed in
The night, stashed by day, bad husband.

She made a livin
Tommy Jackson May 2016
She made a livin by lovin an giving.
She made her hourly wages
On stacks of lost pages
She had written from her
Many different faces.
One for night one for day!
One to sleep
And for morning stay.

The trees give me shelter
When the rain comes on down! The trees give me comfort when noone is around.

The trees have a silence, holding in the earthing secrets. Tree's are not violent, they keep still, quiet, perfect.

The trees make love to the clouds, as baby raindrops they create, but the trees are dying like you and me, their feeling the worst of the universes fate.

Yes today is the day
Getting the flowers in a little later then wanted. Today is the day, mulch, decorative stones, an old sculpted frog to match the soil
Below. Springtime grow! Water to be a vital giver to the coming little bugs, creepy crawlies and the fly buzzer above. Down south, the trees down here have a little more history, they've seen hangings, not done by me, by men who only saw by eyes, not
Spiritually. Some were lost in the decades of tradition, then through all the bloodshed, "still appearing", even now there's yet to be fruition. But now in my kitchen peeping the kitchen backside window, I can see the squirrel's eat the hickory as they get fat and full they see the world as a bunch of fools , planting seeds of disgust! Shiftshaping waters and Meadows. No more good ol days where the boys were good fellows. Now everything and one is to it and themself. Creating new high tech gear, while society's hooked on beer and whatever else. We lost the meaning to this life, our family kids friends, husband wife, tommorrow could end. That's why I make my garden to be in the pristine condition it is, untouched. Undefiled, others walk by and see the sphere they once knew and miss.

We make truths, we make lies
Sleep with stories of wonder why's
We make money to make a living
We make sorrow for someone's giving
We make happiness, we create anger
Robots and destroyers of foes and nature
We make enemies, even we ourselves are one
We shoot pistols, stab with knives, we want fun
We make our living trying to make due
Life throws us burdens to face the day new
We are the choosers of our own free wills
We choose to give life or take it, we make our own thrills
We get our own fills from uneducated stupid boxes
TVs that are ran by fleas, step in politics
Call it daily proxy.
We are human, we are far from perfect
We are human
We are......   ......  .................. ...............
We lost our humanity, we've become animals.
We lost.

Off to the rocker
Tommy Jackson Mar 2016
The older I get
I think more wisdom comes.

Though I'm getting older
Seems I'm a bit more senile.

Getting the thumbs up
From the grand children,
With a pat on the back
From the elders
Who hold on
Barely living.

Though the more senile I get
The stronger I fight.
The grayer the hair
The wisdom takes flight.
And off to a rocker
One day i shall be.
Tommy Jackson Mar 2016
Today was a day like no other
Wife and kids. A home and roof overhead
My wife with a candle between us,
Appreciating another
And I can tell you that wax wick got hot.

MUSIC IS DEAD (R.I.P)
Tommy Jackson Mar 2016
MUSIC IS DEAD-

Once a time there were Poet's who ryhmed
With guitar, voice, piano, drum, being as one
In song.

MUSIC IS DEAD-

Monterey pop festival, Woodstock, Newport pop festival,
Altamont, the list goes on.

MUSIC IS DEAD-

No more does music have meaning, protestors protested for reason's, now protesting what the administration sais is truth
While yet middle easterns, and our own citizens are seething.

MUSIC IS DEAD-

Lyrics that once changed the earth, now are a church, of fashion idols, teenie boppers, pinning bad against good, turning good Into to bad, cash makes younger ones happy, older musicians die off by the bags. Lady gaga speaks of materialism, with the kids, listens with it mom and dad, societies failure.

MUSIC IS DEAD-

Once something sacred, sacrosanct, has turned to global banks, making stage sets such as save the planet ( while many destroy it)

MUSIC IS DEAD-

Don't let it get in your head, you are still being fed, what the sixties spoke of CONTROL.

Don't sell your soul.

Music is dead.

Masses of mirage
Tommy Jackson Mar 2016
An assassin mentality
Has taken over the epoch's, scientists measure faith by
Weathering of muck
Hewn stone comes from bombing homes
Yet only scientifically has man
Measured their fate.
We open gates
To realms of the dead.
Kings run rampant
Queens say off with heads.
Politics like tricky ****
Create the rebirth of Nixon scandals.
Making words around the world
And wars they use to advance
Secretively they laugh
Behind the curtains of seance.
conjuring up tricks,
erroneous illusions.
Making boys to men
Armys to win
The masses of confusion.
Tommy Jackson Mar 2016
At only the age of sixteen
I stared through the astral
Telescope into her window
I saw what I shouldn't have
Though her window opened
And my imagination ran wild.
Then one day it closed
So I supposed I'd marry that girl
And with her have at least one child.
And still with my wife
My love.

My imagination goes untamed.

Flash. Sound bang dash.

The drummer cracks
The drum stick to the drum. Summers mash
Acoustic hash, echoes pile the streets
Of the rocking gnomes.

Children left their home
For San Francisco's loan
Only to be cold
Wearied tired and sleepless,

Fed only the crumbs
Their guitars would bring.

Their still alive
But as for now
I won't forget
The death of the hippie.

Wisdoms lullaby

Not contemplate
Not trump the sound
Of reverbing hate.
I'll fix my face
A warriors brand.
Shaking friends
Making hands.
Flip the band
Rock the stage
I was born to be
A fist of rage.
Not hurting others
Making page
Wisdom comes
White hair gray age.
Wisdom tells its
Wholesome tale.
Deepens mysteries
On universal scale.
I will get there
No way to fail
With a guitar in hand
Lyrics in mail.
Getting older
Doesn't mean goodbyes.
Getting older
Is wisdoms lullaby.

All I ever heard from each politician was!
( I CAN make your land great again)
Well

It's been fifty plus years and I noticed something?
Over the last fifty years just in
My lifetime..

THINGS WENT TO HELL!

So for the upcoming hopeful voters

Vote for who you will
But still

Also,
Our land Will not once be great again.

Unyielding know-how
Tommy Jackson Feb 2016
Warm and gregarious are the politicking politician's.
They give hand outs, they take back. 100 dollar plates,
1,000 dollar ties, 50,000 dollar rides, all seem innocent
Behind smiles and whitened teeth grinches. All want to
Win a race, based off of other young men's livelihood's,
Sticking poor in poorer places, down south we call that
HOOD! Small business hard working peasants are losing
Stores to affluent men, who get ****** under tables for
Favors, present day-galore. The fast food workers get an
Extra dime to spare their time, while trump, Clinton rehatch
Nixon, and communism's back in prime. Bernie Sanders about
To die, Ted Cruz speaks of God, while playing pokie-pokie
With the fallen ones mirage. Mansions get bigger, pockets
Decrease, no more Mary Magdalenes to be forgiven, beggars
Only beg for hard cash, not their food to eat. Life's become*
Moneyrichesjewels_you steal from me. I'll **** for you . don't worry uncle Sam's tax fund will keep you happy for tommorrow, don't worry, we'll get more money, from the wars and the next one we will borrow

When the blanket covers over them. My blankets sing rhythm and blues, when the wife leaves. The sheets know its bad news. My telephone rings of longing for, when the door gets slammed in front of my face. The house crumbles down when erie silence is found. I miss my wife. Though it's only for 12 hours. I miss my wife. I miss her face.
