If I could write the perfect poem
It would definitely be a Love poem

I would use sweet words
Like Baby
And Honey
And ****
And UMMmmmmm.

I guess, If I could write the perfect poem
It would definitely be a Love poem

I would fill it with promises
Like Always
And Forever
To show just how serious I am.

I would add in happy words
Like Joy
And Bliss
Because what's Love without Happiness
  
Did you just sing the Al Green song too?

     Love and  Happiness....

Yeah, If I could write the perfect poem
It would definitely be a love poem

I'd have to talk about things
Like handsome
And wise
And strong
And smart.

I would tell the world
About the man
Who holds
My Soul
And Heart

I believe I could write the perfect poem
I could write the perfect love poem

I could...

All I need
Is ...

YOU

Your approach was fast with one clear direction
Each word recited with a single intention

To coax and subdue, move virtue out of the way
To ****** and conquer today's targeted prey

................But................

Your motives were clear,  it was all quite evident
Each compliment given became more transparent

To manifest your purpose, there's just one thing to do
To engage with vigilance and show kindness to you.

................and...............

Just as expected your game now exposed
Your words of admiration are quickly disposed

To search for a weaker opponent no doubt
To find someone who's blind to what you're about

Our Love blossomed like the flowers in Spring
   The passion surpassed the hottest Summer day
Cool attitudes and cold shoulders Fall into place
    Death at Winter's first frost is inevitable.

     Summer's heat is a memory

Fall brings cool winds
     Winter's not far away

Pieces of me are missing
     They just and up left today
Going on a permanent vacation
     They said they couldn't stay

My heart and Soul are gone
     They had something else to do
I tell you this because
     I have a feeling they're with you
