She stood behind him, but she did not hide,
She offered her hand,

Social distance,
Staying inside,
I don’t have a fever,
I am drunk and I am high,
God, help us!
Forgive my addiction,
But life feels like science fiction,
I don’t really know how much I can stand,
Between naps....I play Rocket Man,
The numbers increase,
We're losing the pace,
I am never going to touch my face

she collapsed underneath
the stars and only then
did she realize that she
was indeed exploding

before you —
I used to drown in my sadness
never letting anyone close enough
to touch me,
now I drown in you

the beauty of a woman
is seen in her eyes
because that is the doorway
to her heart, the place where love resides

I wonder if the cracks
in my heart
are glued with liquid gold
or strung together
like pieces of clothes
on a drying line

missed the fireworks
but got the show
of a lifetime
grand finale
rockets in flight
made flares
that made sparks
in a fire
on that cold night
